Welcome' date=' fellow YCMembers. Before you read, please take into consideration that this has not been copied or pasted from anywhere, this is all from my heart, and my current depression that I've going through, which when I feel the need to, will be posted into a new thread among YCM.

Love. What is love? Is it an emotion felt between two beings as a sign of affection, or is it the very thing that kills us on the inside, causing our hearts to stop working, and our very spirit's crushed into oblivion?

What is love? Love is what you believe it to be. Every different being views love as a different definition. The world is not revolved around one opinion, but many.

 

I ask you this - Is love even worth it? The answer is quite obviously 'No'. Love is an emotion that should not exist. Love. Affection. Lust. Such words should be meaningless. The reason - You ask? Why, it's as simple as a term passed down by generations. "All good things must come to an end."

It is true that all good things come to ends, but it is these ends that link to new beginnings. All you must do is learn of which path to take in order to move on from your ends and find your beginnings.

 

Love is a double edged sword. Sure, love is great, no, not great, wonderful at first. The feelings that you'll always be with them. The feeling that you think will last forever. But, as soon as it's all over, as soon as you feel the full impact of that same sword piercing into your heart, you'll realize that it's not worth it.

Wrong, once you feel the pierce of the blade you will have two choices. One choice is to keep going, no matter what is stabbing your heart, showing more courage and nobility than even a brave Knight can demonstrate. The other choice is the one you're taking, giving up and allowing the blade to destroy your heart and your life.

 

No matter how hard you try - It will always come to an end. Denial. Anger. Depression. Insanity. Four words come to mind when I hear the word 'Heartbroken.' Love should not exist. The world would be a better place without love. No broken hearts, no depression, no suicide, no rejection, no hypocrisy. Just emptyness. That's all love is. Empty Feelings.

Though your logic may be correct, your philosophy is not. Love is the very essense that should drive your soul to greater ends than a butterfly. True, no broken hearts, no depression, no suicide, and no rejection would be a nice world to live in, but it is too bad that the one with broken hearts means there are people who can grow away from their suffereings, a world with depression is a world of light and darkness, reasons and results, without depression, our society would be perfect, defiling the law of inperfection our species as homo-sapians are entitled to. No world is perfect. Suicide can be taken away though. Rejection gives free will, makes love hard to fine, but much more worth the feeling when you truly find it.

 

Love is nothing more then sugar-coated lies. It's nothing more then pain and suffering. Sure, they'll tell you that they love you, and that they'll be there for you, no matter what happens. And then, they stab you in the back, like nothing ever happened.

Who ever says that they'll love you and protect you and then betray you is not a lover at all, but a thief of happiness and a murderer of paradise. You must move away from those who betray you, accept their choices and move on with your own.

 

You wait weeks, months, years, sitting at your bedside, wondering, pondering, thinking, "What went wrong. What did I do to deserve this." And sure, if you're anything like me, you obsess over it. You sit there, writing, thinking, creating theroys on why it happened, and how to fix it. How to stop it from happening again.

When you sit there and wait for an answer, nothing will ever come. You may find a way to fix it, but by then, you can never fix it so you must make do with what you get. But you will always be allowed to use that answer for a second chance.

 

You sit there, thinking and beleiving the lies your so called "Friends" fill you with. That it'll all be over soon, it doesn't matter, get over it, theres other people out there, that the pain will go away. They're wrong. They're all wrong. The pain will always linger. The pain and the suffering you endured will always remain in the very depths of your mind, lingering. Waiting. Waiting until the exact moment, when you are most vulnerable. They strike you down months, maybe even years from when the pain first began.

You are weak by saying these distruthed lies. You fear the pain, you want away from your suffereings when the answer to your happiness is through the road of needles. You must endure the pain at all costs, and do it proudly and never give in to the temptations of surrender. You will only feel the pain when you let it take controle like you are doing now. You are living like your life is a lie but the truth is that the answer is smacking you in the face and saying "Get the hell up, we're not finished yet."

 

Love conquers all? Ha. Love destroys all. Love destroys everything you beleive is true. The term "It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all" is a meaningless term, and possibly the biggest lie I've ever come across. Loving and Losing the person you love most is the biggest pain and suffering you will ever come across. The only way to protect yourself is to not love at all. Forget how to love. Save yourself the pain, forget about love. All they tell you is a suger-coated lie, the pain will never stop. The pain will just continue to consume you until there is nothing left.

So then you are a coward. You'd rather win all the time and get nothing for it, than lose and learn your answers. You disgust me, you disgust me with your shameful words of fear. You should embrace your life as truth and accept the fact that your life will never get what you may want. Your patience will.

 

Thus, a word of advice - Forget about love. Love is not happiness. It's just hypocrisy, lies, suffering, and pain. The lies they tell you are the biggest lies you'll hear. Forget about love, because the pain will never stop.

Your words of advise show no meaning to those who truly have loved. It is not us who are listening to lies, but it is yourself. Understand that love is hard to master, but once you take controle of it, it is the greatest power on earth.

Alright, a 0/10 Because it is not love that is causing you your pain. It is your fear. Love is the source of truth that you must seek, not show fear of. Your fear of pain shows that you are a coward and a self-centered, attention-seeking, cry baby. Boo Hoo! You lose your happiness. It will come again and again. Love is repetitive until you find someone you truly care for. If you have ever loved in your entire life, than you will move on from this now and forget being afraid of the pain and suffering. Accept it for what it is, be a human being, and show yourself as one.

If you asked me about this topic, I believe that love is something so rare & illusive that we humans would not find it. Instead, our "love" has been reduced to lust, crushes, desire for sex, to satisfy a third party or many various reasons.

 

In short, true absolute love is as good as impossible as it is.

How right you are, Raviel. True love is not supposed to desire such things. Half the people in the world today thinks it's just a means of getting what they want in a relationship, and that's obviously not the case.

 

We can only reach a very small measure of true love because we are not perfect human beings, and therefore there will always be a part of us that flaws us from reaching the ideal goal. Maybe for a brief moment we can get a glimmer of what we could have had, but even that is still not the equivalent of true love.

Unfortunatley, Raviel is probably the smartest person inside the thread with the exception of Meti and Myself. He's right, Love has turned to nothing more then unaccpetionable lust, almost making it impossible to find.

hmmm, love can be indescribable, yet it can be explained clearly, it can hurt, yet it brings relief at the same time. love is a never ending paradox, of pain, healing, anger, joy, hate, love. if love is a lie, then love is true, you cannot resent love, because you care for it at the same time

Who says I was insulting you? I was disgusted by your words of conditional fear of love. You were showing more cowardice than a gezelle shows a cheeta. Learn from it, preach it, and then show it. You run from your problems, you won't be able to learn from them, thus you can never prech and spread your discoveries to anyone else, and thus you then show fear of them.

WRONG AGAIN! Love should never be compared with lust at all. Also, the term "unacceptional" is the wrong word there. I would use the word "unreasonable." You can never find a noble reason to lust, but you will find much braver and fearless reasons in love. You sir have never loved in your life, so I suggest you stop being the little cry baby that you are and start looking for your true love. Just because you lose a girlfriend does not mean it's the end of the god damn world. You have an unlimited supply of chances in life and if you throw hem away then you are wasting the precious moments that you can have in true happiness.

 

Once again, I say it is not love that is causing you your pain. Love has never even met your soul yet. You have only introduced yourself to lust and fear and it's now controling your mind like you are their puppet. Break your strings and know your role, and make fear your damn puppet.

 

Now, break through the undertoe and give it all, because that is the reason why I sing. Now give it all, and soon these reasons will belong to you.

and what would give your life meaning if alls you do is go to work and pay bills most of the time and u had no one waiting at home to greet you when come home or make you going to work seem worth it i mean ya u have friends but theirs just some things u can't share with them plus most of the time their going to bust your balls about it later

Love is indescribable...because it has no corporeal form & just a feeling that we almost would misperceive.
