Konami says "screw you" to UDE; UDE sues Konami.

In my opinion, I would have to say, let the OCG take over, bc even though you could use cards in Japanese or any other language, you could use them in a US tourney as long as you have the translations (aka. yugioh.wikia)... Plus, the TCG has been far behind in pack/deck/special releases, so without a doubt I think the OCG should take over... They probably know what's best for us players than the TCG does.

Not to mention that if Konami wins the case, and takes over the TCG, we could start buying and using EH Absolute Zero (dont matter if it's in Japanese) in tourneys.

You people still wouldn't be able to use OCG-only cards in tourneys, even if the OCG and TCG were to merge (and nothing says that they will). You need at last one copy of the card in English in order to use copies of it that are in, say, German, so the same would apply here - and there are no English Airbellums.

i thought you only had to have a verified source of a translation. e.g a wikia page? well however translations will almost guaranteed to be released quicker because their is going to be a lot of bad publicity involving his because jumps and reginals are dieing out faster than the dinosaurs when the meteor hit the earth. ( lol my remark is actually probbly the best description of whats going to happen )

The words verified, source, translation and Wikia page in the same sentence?

I only hope it means cheaper cards.

I've never been too fond of the tournament scene, so I personally wouldn't mind the end of Jumps, Nats and Regs, mostly since I don't go to them, but I'm sure for those that do find enjoyment in that this news would be rather unfortunate.

About frick'n time this happened. What with all the "new names" and rarity changes and new cards added to us and ude not even attempting to balance out the card diversity between the tcg and ocg, I can safely say that they had this coming.

Does this mean now that everything will be the way it should be? Will we not have to complain anymore about what we expect the names are being changed too? :D

Now all we need to happen is a good dubbing company to root out 4kids and we will have everything perfect in the Land-o'-Yu-Gi-Oh! :D

UDE needs to behave and reprint Gemini Elf with their cleavages showing and quit ruining the game.

lol, 7,500,100 dolla. Maybe they were like "Well, let's sue them for 7.5 Mill." and the other dude was like "add 100 dolla to that. We will make dudes on a forum go LOL" and the guy was like "LOL".

People should use specific numbers more. I think people are too fond of zeroes at the end. :/

Yes, and all verbs should be irregular, too. And let's add an accent to every letter in every language. Oh, and let's go living on Mars while we're at it, because simplicity should be avoided at any cost.

this could be the end of tgc as it merges with ocg. This could mean that their will be no more exclusives to tgc and ocg' date=' so hopefully the same meta. ( wishful thinking ). right yer iv heard of reginals being canceled, but i though it was just rumors.

the only reason i can think for this the have made this decision is that;

1 - ude are incompetent so they can't afford to damage their name and brand in a bigger market ( rest of the world tht is not ocg )

2 - kde are losing money fast, so by getting rid of the sub-contracting they assume they can do the job their self and are able to save money. i fear kde have don it for this reason, and will implement their production methods on a bigger scale, and because they have no experience in this market, it could go horribly wrong.

the end of tgc is nigh ( always like to end on a happy note )

I think it's number 1. UDE is probably dragging KDE in a trainwreck. Rarity changes, printing TCG exclusives, not doing anything to get the OCG exclusives, Duel Terminal... they are killing this game. Just look at the other UDE card games they haven't last long. They should stick to printing hockey cards. (no pun intended)

Here you've done a nice job of showing why none of you people should have the right to talk about this - the worst of you people always manage to say stupid things, because you never bother to check your information.

Konami and UDE are working together to do what they can to bring Duel Terminals to the TCG regions; Japan only took to them so well because it, unlike other countries, enjoys an arcade game every once in a while. The US's arcade affinity is infantile in comparison.

UDE tries to get OCG exclusives all the time, as well; Konami dictates when they do and don't get them, and which ones they have access to. At the proper time, UDE's going to refuse getting an OCG exclusive brought here, if getting an exclusive would actually hurt sales; the first thing UDE tried for in negotiation for this year's tins was a set of exclusives. However, the strongest exclusive that they would have let UDE print would have been Battle Warrior; UDE effectively saw that no sane player would appreciate a Battle Warrior tin, and eschewed the opportunity to instead print what we have now.

The TCG exclusives were Konami's idea, as a way to attempt making up for all the red tape involved in getting OCG exclusives brought over here.

The rarity changes helped sell more product; for all the complaining you do, people more important than you obviously didn't care enough to put a bullet in the profits, ergo your complaining is worthless. It doesn't help your case that Konami actually ok'd the rarity changes - they saw that the OCG printing's rarities did not match how much selling power each card had in proportion to the rest of the set, ergo the rarity changes fixed that. If you're going to actually fault a business for doing what it needs to do to succeed as well as it possibly can, you have no place in any sort of discussion about these matters.

As for the other UDE games, the three Vs. System games aren't even close to death, WoW is somehow still alive although I never expected it to take off, and they're working on developing more games as well.
