Dude when it comes to classes, it is dependant on what weapon the person uses, not just the armor. I can tell you this. Link wears clothes similar to a ranger (Tunic or Jerkin) but he has the class of Hero, not because of what he wears, but because he can use any weapon. (in Final Fantasy, he would be a freelancer.)
