PyroWildcat
Hey all; hope I can use this opportunity to make a decent first impression. Anyway, I used to be into the Yu-Gi-Oh card making thing sometime back and I decided to try it again. I had both a Sonic and Zelda set made up back then, but I can't find them anymore, so I decided to recreate them based on some of the new effects and such that have cropped up since then and see what you guys think of them. Anyway, here we go again: Currently In Progress: Sonic Metal Madness 3 Some cards in this update:
I didn't really have a particular theme in mind with this set. I guess I liken it a bit to Yugi's deck from what I've seen of the show. You can do a bunch of crazy stuff if you draw the right card at the right time, but it doesn't really focus on any one thing. In time, I'll create more support so it'll be easier to make decks themed more around the Supers, Knuckles/Rouge, Chaos, etc.

http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/4226/202595id5.jpg ' alt='202595id5.jpg '>http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/9444/202595c.jpg' alt='202595c.jpg'>http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/1981/202595nz1.jpg ' alt='202595nz1.jpg '>http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/3703/202595so3.jpg ' alt='202595so3.jpg '>http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/5121/202595i.jpg' alt='202595i.jpg'>
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/4697/202595aw1.jpg ' alt='202595aw1.jpg '>http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/8725/202595oo2.jpg ' alt='202595oo2.jpg '>http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/4844/202595br8.jpg ' alt='202595br8.jpg '>http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/5304/202595ui5.jpg ' alt='202595ui5.jpg '>http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/1720/202595yn9.jpg ' alt='202595yn9.jpg '>
http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/9916/202595.jpg' alt='202595.jpg'>http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/8779/202595w.jpg' alt='202595w.jpg'>http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/9916/202595.jpg' alt='202595.jpg'>http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/7605/202595p.jpg' alt='202595p.jpg'>http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/6167/202595z.jpg' alt='202595z.jpg'>http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/9916/202595.jpg' alt='202595.jpg'>http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/6256/202595y.jpg' alt='202595y.jpg'>http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/9916/202595.jpg ' alt='202595.jpg '>

This set is based mostly around loading your side of the field with low-level Machine-Type monsters via cards like "Badnik Swarm" and "Badnik Production Complex" and keeping them there via "Robotropolis", "Badnik Scrap Yard", and "Badnik Off-Ramp". In return, you'll be constantly sacrificing these monsters; "Badnik - Eggrobo" needs constant Tributes to keep his ATK high, "E-Series - Omega" needs Tributes to attack multiple times, and "Badnik Firewall" requires a Tribute to hold off an opposing Spell or Trap card. In addition, keeping 4 Machine Type monsters on the field with "Mecha Series - Metal Sonic" can result in a 5000 ATK/DEF "Perfect Metal Sonic".

http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/7301/202595jl7.jpg ' alt='202595jl7.jpg '>http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/3965/202595ra6.jpg ' alt='202595ra6.jpg '>http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/2449/202595rv6.jpg ' alt='202595rv6.jpg '>
http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/1511/202595kd2.jpg ' alt='202595kd2.jpg '>

This set doesn't really intend to feature monsters with major ATK all on their own. Instead, cards like "Let's Do It to It", "Uniting for Freedom", "Power Ring", and "FF - Rotor" help allow "FF" monsters to briefly even the odds long enough to take on high ATK monsters thrown out by the opponent. During this, various cards can allow the player to keep their opponent off balance by looking at their hand with "FF - Uncle Chuck" and "FF - Antoine D'Coolette" and briefly controlling their own draws through "Reconnaissance". I didn't think any of the cards here had small enough print that I needed to type out the lore. If I was wrong, let me know which cards need their lore typed out. Also, finding good pictures for many of the characters or scenarios I needed is considerably difficult. Trust me, the pictures you see on these cards are the best there are.

In creating this set, I wanted to try and cover some of the holes left behind in the first part of the set. - Chaos Emeralds: Several were needed to be able to effectively summon the super forms that required them, but they didn't have much use aside from summoning super forms. Now cards such as "Drawn to the Emeralds", "Chaotic Negation", and "Chaos Barrier" give new uses for the Chaos Emeralds in case the cards needed to summon super forms aren't drawn. - Super Forms: Since most of the Super Forms require all of the monsters to be on the field, they're probably more difficult to summon than they should be in most cases. Cards like "Keeper of the Emeralds", "Collecting Chaos", and "Super Form Showdown" should make it easier to summon super form monsters. - Sonic the Hedgehog: A lot of cards require his involvement somehow, but his effect seems just a little too situational to me, so I added a second version of Sonic with a somewhat more useful ability. This should also make it easier for the more completely Sonic-focused decks to get a copy of the blue hedgehog in their hand. - Dark Armed Dragon: I hear the name of this monster being thrown a lot in critique of how powerful a deck a set can make. This in mind, I've included cards like "Vector the Croc", "Chaos Zero #2", and "Blaze's Fireball" that can reduce the opponent's control over the contents of their Graveyard. In addition, cards like "Dark Super Sonic", "Sonic the Werehog", and "Biolizard" are powerful monsters that can be summoned relatively quickly in response to a successful summon of a DAD. - Lack of support: "Chaos Zero", "Knuckles the Echidna", and "Rouge the Bat", among others, have received several cards to support them. - Too specific support: Many cards in previous sets require specific conditions to activate or be useful. Many still do, but more cards have some use even if the specific conditions aren't met.

Basically added more support for existing cards, mainly the "Mecha Series" monsters and "Diabolical Genius Robotnik". I also added several new Badniks, as well as changing them up a little so that there are more Level 3s to choose from, as well as ATK and DEF that make them a little more useful on their own. I have also begun utilizing effects that come up while the monster is removed from play; I tried to keep them fairly weak, as it seems a bit difficult to reverse a monster being removed from play, especially if it belongs to your opponent. Finally, I included the "Eggman Vehicle" series to make provide a way of getting a reasonably powerful monster on the field quick.

This isn't the complete set. See the top of this post to see what else I intend to include.Just to let you know, I have played neither Sonic Riders, Sonic 2006, nor Sonic and the Black Knight; I got a little information from wikias and so forth, but I'm mostly running off of what I wanted to do with them. The Sonic Riders part is mostly to add an archetype with a shared effect between all of them, as well as an excuse to add more monsters that would allow better use of the spells and traps in the first set that used to only work with one or two specific monsters. The Knights are mostly to add some monsters with raw power, as I don't have too many of those at the moment. The Sonic 2006 cards aren't really for much except to say that I've made cards for them.

I'll admit that I'm not entirely sure where I'm going to be going with this at the moment. For now, I've just been making additions to the Badnik roster, as well as adding Trap Monsters and providing a great deal of additional support to Normal monsters. A few more of the obvious stallers have come up too, along with a little more to the removing from play thing that I started up in the last Metal Madness. As usual for these, the pictures may not be great, but they truly are the best that's available(I even had to add the BGs myself).

The artists in question can be found at DeviantArt unless otherwise stated. Obviously, I take no credit for any of the artwork used on the cards. EDIT: Updated my cards to correct the mistakes that have been pointed out. Please do not say my cards have OCG errors unless you're ready to tell me where they are; I will not hunt through all 300+ cards I've made to find some obscure screw-up with nothing to go on. If nothing else, at least give me something to look for. "There are some OCG errors" is not helpful in the slightest at this point.EDIT AGAIN: Added Sonic Fighting for Freedom 1.EDIT ONCE MORE: Credits have been added. Some names may have gotten lost, so if you see something you recognize and the artist isn't shown in the credits, please let me know immediately.EDIT YET AGAIN: Added Sonic General Set 2. *Art credits added.* Also fixed the "Chaos Emerald" and "Master Emerald" cards, thanks to the improved UI; they are now Rock/Union instead of Rock/Union/Effect. Also made minor fixes to some of the new cards.AND ANOTHER EDIT: I have finally come back to finish Sonic Metal Madness 2!JUST SOME EDIT: Posted part of General Sonic Set 3. Namely, we have the part with "Sonic Riders"-themed cards.IS THIS AN EDIT: Posted another part of General Sonic Set 3: this one with Sonic & the Black Knight-themed cards. I have also updated a number of my earlier cards. Most just got OCG updates, but "Shadow the Hedgehog" and the Super Forms received more significant overhauls; Super Form Summons that used to require two Chaos Emeralds now typically need only one.SOMETHING ABOUT AN EDIT: Posted "Sonic 2006"-themed cards. They're really only Mephiles and Iblis, but I tried to add a decent amount of support considering how little I actually know of the game. I'm also working on updating and organizing the art credits, so it should be considerably easier to find the sources of my images soon enough.A LONG AWAITED EDIT: Posted the monster cards for the Chao section.ANOTHER QUICK EDIT: For those who care, I do intend to finish Sonic General Set 3, I just really like making Badnik monsters for some reason, so I decided to get an early start on Metal Madness 3.AWESOME EDIT!: Just finished the Sonic General Set 3 with a series of Spells and Traps to provide additional support to the Chaos, Chaos Zero, and Tikal. PyroWildcat
Bump for Sonic Metal Madness 1 set. I know the Badnik pictures are crap. Trust me, it's a royal pain trying to find decent pics of those things; heck, I had to come up with backgrounds and put them on myself.
PyroWildcat
Bump for critique. I know there's a lot of cards, but come on, I'd like to know if I'm on the right track here.

PyroWildcat
Bump for the rest of the Sonic Fighting for Freedom 1 set being posted. Actually SonicJack9, that Sonic Movie was my inspiration for Metal Sonic's effect. I also had to rip the image for 'Spindash' myself because I couldn't find the particular frame I wanted on the internet.

PyroWildcat
danielnintendo, first I'll go into the Chaos Emerald cards. Short story, I remember that's how I made them when I first conceived of this set, so that's how I'm making them now. Long story, making the Chaos Emeralds the way I have opened up a whole new world of possible cards that I wouldn't have been able to do if I have just lumped all seven of them into a single Spell card like so many people seem to be doing. I don't get how that's supposed to be confusing, though; they're all essentially the same card, they just have slightly different effects when equipped to a monster. As for the second post, I just facepalmed when I saw it.1. It's freaking Christmas. This is one of the few times I'm home with my family, and it's just plain ridiculous that you're expecting me to spend it in front the computer keeping track of my topic so I can immediately respond to the requests of lazy people like you.2. Ummm... so to get my attention, you posted a bunch of attachments. I haven't even bothered to look at them, nor do I ever plan to. If you're trying to post your cards in my topic, the only attention you'll be getting from me for it will not be the kind you want, I assure you.3. I posted all of the artists whose art I used in the first post. It's a lot of names, but if you're too lazy to look for the one who did the e-series pics, then I guess I'm too lazy as well. I don't like when I have be an ass, but this time you asked for it.
danielnintendo
Sorry for bothering you like that PyroWildcat i just got over exited, i guess... I am a great sonic fan and i can tell that both of us have different views on the same subject. Therefor i am creating a new sonic card pack thing and i hope you take some time to look through it. Xing
Not bad, but not good either. A couple of OCG errors, some pics are blurry, some had art which wasn't so good, and some needed a background. OVERALL: 6.5/10. Try some more! PyroWildcat
Crazymanguy4, if you're going to rate my cards, at least learn to read before you do so. - Demented already went over my OCG errors and I took care of them; if you can't give me an idea of what or where the errors are, then I have no choice but to believe that you're just making it up. - As for the pictures, I already said that I'm delving into obscure areas of Sonic; there just plain AREN'T any pictures of the characters/events/etc that I need other than what I found. If you think you can get ahold of better, then be my guest. Honestly, put Xing in multiple-star member's thread and he'll ignore a train wreck to give a sparkling review. Show him cards made by someone with a low post-count, and the slightest transgressions become the worst sins known to man.

PyroWildcat
Bump? Anyway, I figure I'm at the point where I should start seeing if anyone looking at this thread has any requests. Bear in mind, though, that I plan on staying at least fairly close to canon, so there are some things I want to lay down: - No fan characters. That is a given pretty much no matter what. - Alternate versions of canon characters will be considered(especially considering I've already made a "Metal Shadow" card). I would much prefer for to feasibly fit into canon though, so no "Shadic" or "DBZ Sonic" cards or any crazy fanmade powerup. - Particular card concepts can also be requested, such as 'a card used to power up 'Cream and Cheese'' for a random example. I would prefer that the details of the card's effects be left to me, but if you want to get specific, I'll still consider it. Obviously, nothing blatantly overpowered will be considered. Well, that's all I can think of for now.
