Santa presents: A Christmas Edition of YCM Nightly!

Welcome one and all to a Christmas Edition of YCM Nightly! I'm not bringing the show back for good, but I sure as h*ll am bringing it back for one night of awesome! Before I start the show, I'd like to thank Arreku for the huge amount of help he gave me by posting a thread to get people to think about YCM Nightly, so that they would be surprised when I posted this.

 

Alright, let's get the show on the road! Not literally, though, it's really cold outside, and if we had this show outside on the road, we'd all be sitting in snow and freezing our a*ses off. Anyway, let me give everyone an overview of the show.

 

We've got five interviews, one that will be very surprising to all of you. We're going to have a Song of the Night, a Card of the Night, and I'm going to show you a card that I made when I came out of Card Making Retirement for a contest that I ended up forgetting about. In addition to that, I'm going to try to make some political jokes, and probably fail horribly.

 

Let's start with a small discussion. In real life, I'm a really easy going person. I don't really get mad about things, and I like to make bad jokes just to make people laugh. I have a high ego in real life, unlike on the internet. I've come to the conclusion that my jokes are so lame, that they're funny. That's right, I'm that d*mn awesome.

 

Moving on, let's talk a little bit about what happened during the whole "Star getting banned thing". I was angry about something that had happened on the forum, and I ended up getting myself banned on purpose. It was stupid, and I'm very grateful that YCMaker gave me another chance. During my leave, though, I went over to Pojo. I posted there a lot, but it wasn't the same as YCM. Once I did get unbanned, I started to post on YCM a lot. Now, I have the most popular WWE Fan-Fic in YCM History, and possibly one of the most popular Fan-Fics in YCM History.

 

Ok, I'm done rambling on about myself. So hey, there's a new President of the United States of America. Well, not yet, but he will be soon enough. Barack Obama did end up winning the Presidential Election. I mean, that's all well and good, but he's gotta do something about this economy. This economy is worse than the air in Beijing at the time of the Olympics. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some people that were having trouble breathing because of this economy. Once Bush gets out of office, hopefully things will get a lot better for the country. Who knows?

 

Moving on, let's take a minute and have an interview!

 

Alright, this interview might be very interesting. I'm about to interview a man that has been involved in a lot of YCM controversy. He is, however, a good friend of mine, and a good moderator. Please welcome, Avarice!

 

Star: Welcome to the show.

 

Avarice: Howdy Star, glad to be on it.

 

Star: How are you doing?

 

Avarice: Currently I am extremely tired, but bored.. always bored..

 

Star: Do you like being a mod?

 

Avarice: It's alright, it has it's ups and downs. But, when someone becomes a mod, especially now-a-days, it's like that person is caring a target on their back. Due to the fact that everyone is wanting to be noticed, and is wanting to be a moderator. Say one wrong thing, or do something someone else doesn't like, and boom! automatic chaos.

 

Star: Did you like YCM better before or after you were a mod?

 

Avarice: Before, way before. It was like everyone knew everyone on a first name basis. Any issues were dealt with over PM, and members respected each other, assumptions and accusations weren't just thrown around willy-nilly.

 

Star: Why does it seem like some people on YCM hate you?

 

Avarice: Lol, to be honest, I don't quite know. I mean I have my suspitions. Like, that I was banned before I became a mod. Or that I speak what I want to speak, or that I don't try and conduct myself professional, on a cards forums for christs sake. But, the major reason I think it is, is because someone wanted an outlet to vent onto. A source of which to attack another. What do you get when one open voice combines with another? Well.. you get YCM currently.

 

Star: How awesome am I really?

 

Avarice: How awesome are you? I don't know, I hate the fact that you say Hi in an IM, then like dissapear. The circumstances involving your demotion, were really... stupid. But all in all, I would say your more awesome than alot of other members.

 

Star: If you won a million dollars, what would you do with it?

 

Avarice: Lol what an odd question for this interview. But um.. I think I would first buy myself a car, a good one, then a living space, then put in my bank right after.

 

Star: If you could promote someone to mod, who would you choose, and why?

 

Avarice: Hmm, well that's a tuffy, but I think I would promote Glasstin to Mod of General, why? Well come on, he's well known, members who are smart, are polite to him.

 

Star: What did you think of this interview, and this talk show?

 

Avarice: The interview, is fine I suppose, the show is um.. different since it's not really like a show..

Alright, it's time for another interview! This time, I'm going to interview one of the most immature, but cool and hilarious at the same time, members, Pikachu!

 

Star: Until YCM Nightly, really, I had no clue who you were or that you existed. When you joined the site, what was your username?

 

Pikachu: You don't know me, but I know you! I used to be called warmaker29, then God Pikachu, then Pikachu™, and now Pikachu.

 

Star: When did you join YCM, and why?

 

Pikachu: I joined YCM in May 12th, after searching youtube for a yugioh video. I found this video and it showed some lame self-made yugioh cards. I lol'd and found the link here and started my epic adventure.

 

Star: What section do you post in the most?

 

Pikachu: I used to like Pop Culture. But now, I post in General, Clubs, Card Contests and Polls. Maybe that's the reason I'm more popular now.

 

Star: How awesome am I really?

 

Pikachu: Pedobear liekz you.

 

Star: Were you surprised when you got offered an interview?

 

Pikachu: A bit, I thought YCM Nightly was gone forever.

 

Star: Do you like snow? Why or why not?

 

Pikachu: We have no damn snow in Shanghai, so let's skip this question.

 

Star: Who is your best friend on YCM?

 

Pikachu: You, who else? XD. I also have friends like my old buddy Proto, and my Club Pikachu partner God Duelist. I have also have alot more, but I don't consider them as 'Best' Friends.

 

Star: What is your favorite movie that came out this year, and why?

 

Pikachu: Wall-E.....the others are just plain screwed.

Star: Do you like YCM more now than you did when you joined?

 

Shanoa: Meh. Yes and no.

 

Star: Why or why not?

 

Shanoa: No in the fact that YCM currently sucks, yes in the fact that I enjoy tearing apart the logic of n00bs.

 

Star: As many people probably now, you're the owner of a forum that's quite popular. If I'm correct, it has more posts than even SXR. What's it like owning your own forum and being a member of other forums at the same time?

 

Shanoa: It has moar posts than SXR? I'm so awesome. Owning a forum is fun, because I like to remind people that I am far above them and will smite them with the almighty ban hammer if I grow bored. Oh, and being on multiple forums isn't hard. I actually play video games at the same time whenever I'm online, so I'm good at multitasking.

 

Star: How awesome am I really?

 

Shanoa: Less awesome than me. =)

In my opinion, YCM has become sort of boring lately. Well, I have an idea that I hope will make it more fun. Starting January 1, 2009, I am going to host YCM's own Deal or No Deal! Some of you may be thinking that this is a stupid idea, and that it's not going to work. Well, I'm going to prove those of you that think that wrong.

 

Well, instead of me sitting here for hours, let's finish up the show!

darkguy00000: I wouldn't say you don't disappoint, Star. Getting someone from the old ages of YCM mightn't be all that popular amongst your younger fans.

 

Star: I realize that you, as well as a lot of others, have left the YCM Community. However, that doesn't change the fact that you were, and still are, a YCM Legend. I remember that you had made the most Written Cards on the site at one time. Do you still make Written Cards?

 

darkguy00000: On a side note, I don't know what I did to deserve the title of legend... But no, I'm not making cards, written or otherwise. Not anymore.

 

Star: Would you, or have you considered making a return to YCM?

 

darkguy00000: I've had new interests, and I've followed those. YCM? Maybe. I doubt it, though.

 

Star: If so, why? If not, why not?

 

darkguy00000: Why not? I think some of the appeal to me was that there was all of forty active posters on the site when I left. It was small, but it was a dedicated and tight-knit community indeed. Plus, the fact of the matter is, I'm simply less interested in the TCG.[/align']

 

Star: Do you still play Yu-Gi-Oh!?

 

darkguy00000: I'm pretty much not playing the TCG competitively anymore, and that was one of the key things that brought me here. The whole Sartorius controversy that happened just inspired me to leave, and really that's why I'm not here anymore. No, I don't play competitively, I don't play socially. I don't know why I stopped, really... just lost interest.

 

Star: I don't know if you've noticed, but the TCG Section has become one of the most popular sections on the forum. Do you remember what it used to be like? Care to give a little insight?

 

darkguy00000: The TCG section? I remember that for the first half of my membership here the area used to almost be dead. Then a few more people came along, like TSL and his friend (the name has totally skipped my mind, but he had a Resistance Fall of Man avatar...) and it started getting invigorated. I liked it too, but at that point I wasn't really all that competitive in the game.

 

Star: Who was your best friend on YCM?

 

darkguy00000: Without a single doubt, KoLoBoS. Sorry, Star :P. But he was interested in my ideas, he was brilliant at artwork, and he was a nice opponent in roleplay as well :P. We made a few cards together.

 

Star: Do you still talk to this person?

 

darkguy00000: We're both on MSN, but not really, no. Very, very rarely.

 

Star: Here's the final question for you. Do you want to be a millionaire? Ok, that wasn't the final question. The final question is, what did you think of this interview, and what do you think of the talk show?
