Its an automatic win. Not a monster effect, But a rule in the game itself.

Spell and Trap cards dont break rules. Its a fact.

Eternal Seal doesnt even really work. You activate it when the opponet is putting one of the cards.... to whare exactly? Or thats right....

 

And if you [i']REALLY[/i] wanted an anti-Exodia card, You would make a card with this effect:

well look at it this way, drawing outside the draw phase generally, it is illegal to do so, however, if you activate "jar of greed" you draw 1 card from your deck OUTSIDE OF THE DRAW PHASE. thus it is bending the rules (maybe "breaking the rules" was a little too strong of a phrase) same way with special summoning, generally you cannot just spontaneously declare a special summon w/o a card so why not bend the rule of exodia with these cards

No, Thats because if you ACTIVATE the EFFECT of a card, You do what it says.

You can only Special Summon if a card allows you to. Special Summon-related cards are an effect. Like Cyber Dragon for example. His Special Summon is his effect

well lets put it this way if the EFFECT of exodia lets the user win why couldnt there be a card that negates that effect like the other cards do as you said "when you activate a card you do what it tells you to do" which is what generally i was getting at

Its because Exodia doesnt even activate. Its a CONTINUOUS effect.

jinkotsu is right. the rule is when you have all the exodia pieces together in your hand, you automaticaly win and there is no way to reverse it
