speaking of Japanese' date=' you do realize that the Japanese language was derived from Chinese right?

And it's probably Japan, since they had relation with the US longer

[/quote']

That is a false statement.

1. The spoken Japanese language is their own. Their written form, however, was based off of China's.

2. Japan might have had longer relations with US, but China's had longer relations with English speaking countries.

I think it's funny that you can sometimes recognize English words in the Japanese anime.

A lot of people begin learning Japanese that way

...that doesn't make any sense. Hearing people shout "GIGA DORIRU BREAKA" doesn't tell anyone any Japanese at all. It's not like the Japanese words for Giga' date=' Drill, and Breaker (or Break) are GIGA, DORIRU, and BREAKA; it's just gratuitous English being spoken by a Japanese voice actor.

[b']tl;dr[/b]: Hearing someone with a strong French accent attempt to speak English will not enable anyone listening to learn French.
