Ok I guess if it's only $1 or something you can do it, but for $300, I'd expect something that would have at least a 95% chance of it working i'm not saying that it doesn't work. the people om sites related to rosetta stone say it works. i just would rather find someone i know who can tell me that it works rather than believe everything that i hear about it on random site #1 from random faceless person A. but from what i hear it is actually the most effective way to learn a language on your own. a friend of mine learned spanish with it easily. but japanese is in NO WAY spanish.
