Multimedia Mod Application

[YCMaker]

As you've probably noticed, there's a new section on the forum entitled "Multimedia", with three subcategories. Of course, with the creation of a new section comes the need for a new mod. If you're interested in moderating this category, or specifically one of the sub-categories, please post here with an explanation as to why you want to become a mod, and why you're qualified. I'll take a look at each application as they roll in, and make a decision soon. For now, the section will be moderated by myself and the rest of the super moderators.

Well i would want to be a moderator but as i'm not popular enough and people of my forum age are still classed as new members so i will now even apply therefore i am admitting i don't qualify.

Well my name is Atomix, which you would probley know. I want to apply for the section of Music. I don't really matter though which forum I moderate as it is for the better of the forum, not for fun and games. I have been told by other mods such as retired J-Max that it is a hard job to do but I'm sure I'll be just right for the job. I spend mostly 16 hours a day on YCM on weekends and 7 hours on weekdays. As 13 years old I am mature and know what is right and what is wrong. I am not here to stop all the rules, just to enforce them but now if I can get this job, I can really make a difference. I have now been on YCM for 368 days and believe to be ready. It doesn't matter about the post count or the reps, or even the points to become a mod. You need to have determination, activity and skill.

I would be an avid moderator of the TV and Movies subforum, as I believe that I have sufficeient knowledge in the area. I am online alot of the time, and would be fair and just.

 

Although my post count may be small, please consider me for a moderating position. I would not abuse my power, and I would do my best to keep YCM Forums a fun place for all ages.

I wish to mod the section as I have countless Moderator experience and I wish to help the forum improve. I own every console to date, apart from the Dreamcast, and I am an expert in Gaming (hence why I made SAW Entertainment). I'm also a huge Anime and TV fan, as well as keeping up to date with all music, though mostly around the Rock/Metal area. I won't bore you with an essay but I can assure you that I only want to help YCM and I have had experience in the following areas:

 

Administrator and Owner of SAW Entertainment

Administrator of Summa Crossroads (SXR)

Design and Support Staff of Web-Boosters

Moderator of Drifting Evanescene

Un-selected Moderator of GamingSource (was offered the position but turned it down)

I believe I should have a chance at moderating the new "Multimedia" section. I think I would make a good mod for this section for a few reasons:

 

-I like the idea of the secion. We needed the Multimedia section, and I thank you for bringing it to us. I like the subjects the forum contains, so Modding it would be absolute fun for me.

-I have the experience. In my 1 and 1/2 years here, I have learned what it takes to be a mod. It takes skill, patience, and the courage to take on the slightest of problems, which I think I have. I have also moderated on several forums.

-The respect. I'am well respected here and I think that making me a mod would be a good choice in that area of me.

 

I spend a lot of time on these forums, and I have cherished them since my arrival here. Many think you never do anything for YCM, but I know you do. I think you have done a great number of things for us, and hope you make me part of your team to help you continue this greatness.

I want to become a mod to help the forum. A while ago, I was rather spammy. but mods helped me. Now I want to give something back to YCM. I have experience in setting up systems and rules.

i have moderated and Administrated Numerous Forums.

I know how to use every Mod Tool.

I know how to lock.

I know how to sticky.

I will listen to the Supers.

I also do not mind what Forum you give me.

Music, video Games, it's all the same.

I will ALWAYS explain to members why i warned them ,or Banned them.

I will answer any questions normal members have.

I will try to be a nice mod.

I Can respect the fact that video games, is taken, Movies and TV shows would be best for me.

If not, I can Moderate Music just as well.

In conclusion, I hope i will be considered, as this would be a great privilege to me.

I might not be qualified to be a mod for 3 reasons

 

1.Crab helmet doesn't like me

2.I was banned before

3.Im probably not the right age to be a mod

But I do believe that I will behave and be a good mod to all members.

Im a straight "A" student so i won't mess up and end up locking,banning,or giving waning levels for no reason.I understand if im not up for the application to be a mod but I would like it if i was one.I know all the mod tools and rules since I have had few experiences with Mybb websites.I am a vey active member so if i was a mod then the "Multimdia" forum would always be safe.

Ah, well, I'm going to break my leave to post in this thread. =/

 

I noticed those three sections and was very pleased that you have finally done something, like most members. But today, I wish to no longer be a member, but a moderator. I will post a very detailed post here explaining why I would like to be moderator.

 

First off, I will be not like any other moderator that has been a moderator, I will actually help this forum and clean up the 'Music' section which is what I would like to moderate. I will stay as active as I can and as long as I can on this forum if you do chose me. I will not only use my powers in a correct way, but I will also explain to members why they have been warned/banned if they have any questions. I will respond to any questions that they give me, and answer them in a full detailed explanation. If they still have questions I will try to answer those questions as well as I can. If the member is mad for some reason, I will explain to them that they have broken the rules and that it would eventually end and that is is just the internet, nothing to get mad about.

 

Secondly, I will not just be like "Oh yeah, you broke the rules. 90% warn" I won't abuse my powers, and I'll try to help all members out. If I do abuse my powers, you have every right to remove me as moderator.

I have been on this forum since April, and yes, I have been banned numerous times, but from all those bans, I have learned every rule there is. I will also follow all other moderators rules when posting in their sections, and I will be a great role model for all other members and new members.

 

Third, I will be on as often as I can. I will try to get on every chance I get. Late at night to early in the morning. I will always be online. If I am not online for over 3 days, then it is due to family issues or life problems.

I will not be just a moderator, I will be a superb moderator.

 

I will sticky threads that need to be stickied. I will unstick all threads that don't need to be stickied. I will lock all inappropriate/spam topics that I see. I will make sure that the Music section will be clean and members can use it easily without seeing any spam or inappropriate threads. All members that break the rules will be punished. They will receive a 20% warn for spamming, a 50% warn for intentional spamming, a 10% warn for mild flaming, a 20% warn for flaming, and a 50% warn for massive flaming.

 

If you chose me as moderator of the Music section, you will be very pleased with the section, but I do certainly understand if you think I am not right for the Music section.

I have wanted to be a mod on this site for quite some time now. I always had that nack for keeping things under control, that's why people in real life usually put me in charge of things, they trust me. If I was mod, most of you know that I am on this site practically everyday, so there's no issue with staying online and doing your job right. I haven't gotten a single Neg rep once on this site so far, and I never spam. If I ever do see or have seen a spammer, I always report them, that kind of stuff just shouldn't happen on this site.

I Have been a mod in 2 previous Forums, (Lethal Anime- Global Mod) (AnimeZero- Global Mod) so I am familliar with what to do with locking, stickying, an I know when to obey my betters (Such as the super mods). I have made many friends on this site for the past 4 months I have been on this site, and I know who to look out for. I am very interested in applyiing to Mod the Multimedia section because I am exceptionally knowledged in all three sub-threads in that section.

It would also be nice if I could change the minds of the peole on this site who give Mods a bad name. They do so much for us and I think it is time for me to pay my dues to this amazing site YCMaker has created that more than 100,000 members have joined.

 

I hope you take into consideration these facts when deciding who to mod the Multimedia section. Thank you very much for your time.

Well, I have been a mod on other forums so i know how to use all of the mod features. I have been on YCM for almost a year now, and i think i could manage all the hard work. I know a lot about the site and the people on it. I could make sure the Multimedia section is free of spammers and flamers. I've wanted to be a mod for some time now, and I wish you pick me, because i would make a great moderator for the Multimedia section.

I would like to either moderate the Movies & TV Shows sub-forum or the Video Games sub-forum.

 

I believe I'm qualified for both forums because they are things I greatly enjoy and know a fair amount about. I'd do everything I can to benefit the whichever sub-forum I am assigned to and I know I can remain active enough to do a good job. I'm pretty good at handling stress and such too.

Well....I'm the Admin of Drifting Evanescence, probably the most successful site that gets most of its members from YCM (Except SXR of course.) and I've moderated one other forum about 2 years ago for a while. I'm active about 8-16 hours a day usually (4-10 if I'm grounded, which I currently am unfortunately.).

 

Eh. That's it. If I become a mod, Woohoo for me. If not, oh well.

I have been and still am a mod on 2 much smaller forums, one, a MyBB board of Sbamber's and an Ibp Free board of God Cyber's. I truely believe that if I became a moderator, I would be extremely active, as I am already on YCM for at least 6 hours every day. I've been online on the forum 4 Weeks, 2 Days, 13 Hours, 50 Minutes, 41 Seconds since I joined on 06-07-2008. I would be a fair and just moderator. When I'm not on YCM, I'm either playing video games, watching TV, or listening to talk radio over the internet. I may have a warning, but I believe this board should remain unobjectionable. I believe that all these things just might qualify me to be a moderator. If I get the job, that's great. If I don't, well I'll just continue coming to this site.

Video Game's are my life. I Own a 360, PS3, WII, DS, PSP, Gamboy, and even a Dreamcast. I Have beaten about 10 game's on each of my consoles. If Rules are not followed I will take action. I have a Zero Tolerance policy.

 

 

I Would Love To Mod the Video Game section. I Think I am fit as I have been here for 1 Year and 3 months. I am well known by most of the forum. I'm home schooled so I am alway's online. Anyway despite my rather... Inactivity.

 

I still do pay close attention to the actions on this site and help out happily when called on. Whether its with Bloodrun/Avarice, Darth Browarod/Obsidian Reventant, or simply asked to give my 2cents and ease a situation into a standstill (irregardless of its this site or another). Ending it for the most part. (Though this has not happened during the Holiday Season much, but thats a given).

 

And lol. Not much to say. Because so many that I am in contact with knows my words. Including the ability to strip most bias from a situation and helping out from there, appeasing those around me without ending in a clash. Yeah... Let that speak for me?

 

EDIT: I would like to either mod the TV etc Section and Music. I am not too into many video games enough anymore.

Why i'm qualified:

Well, I own my own forum. I am very serious about following rules. Just ask Raven or .Aero.Alex. I am a gaming mastermind. There is no game that I can't beat. I have been told by many that I have great leadership skills. I am also what you would call....a "Perfectionist". If rules are broken, not followed, or if the littlest thing is done wrong, I rush to correct it. I would be on every post in that forum like a hawk. Many members like me and think i'm very helpful. So...VOTE FOR ME :)

My name is Juvinielle. I was formerly Christian Exodia, but I did something in Atlanta(Entered right but it didn't let me on) that wouldn't let me on. I've got experience. I've been hoping for a chance for this for a long time. I have no past exprience in being a mod, but I have good ideas that could work for yugiohcardmaker. I am very nice, & could let down members gently if they did something wrong & told me.

I would wish to be a Video Game/Movies/or Music mod because:

- I have 2 DS'es, a Gamecube, a Wii, a PSP, a PS2 & about 50 or so Games

-I have lots of experience of games, I like to study on Wikipedia, or any other websites that I could find info on

-I can agree well with others, unless I have to disagree

-I can tell when members go too far

-I can pick up the pace after one try at a game

-I'm on a lot, espically on weekends. The only times I know i'm not on are about 11:30-6:00-8:30

Movies

-I like many movie genres, from Action(Favorite: Rush Hour 3), to Children(Like Madagascar), to Sports-Entertainment movies(Like No Holds Barred), movies made by WWE Studios, & more.

- My all time favorite(After Rush Hour 3) is The Simpsons Movie

Music

-I have a Ipod

-It has every genre from Classic to Comedy to Rock to Soundtrack

-I LOVE my iPod, & listen to it whenever I have the chance

My favs on there are "Cat's In The Cradle", "Letters from home", stuff by Weird Al, & I don't really have a favorite after that...
