It was my intention to make it sound childish because it is.

I love how people are pointing at me like the devil now. “OMG the evilness will get what she wants, you’ll see!” Actually, who even came up with the “certainty”?

And even then, isn’t the most important thing about getting the job done? I simply think that I would do a better job in the Music section then in General, Games, Polls, Clubs and Introductions. Actually, you should be happy about that, seeing that some of you were constantly bickering about my moderation in General. The odds are high that I will stay here, though, so yeah, you will have enough time to carry on the bickering, I guess.:P

 

Overall, I simply think that the most fitting candidate should and will be chosen, regardless of him being a new member, veteran, former mod or your grandma. That’s the most important thing: getting the job done, right?

 

It’s not all about moderation; if you’re not able to enjoy the forum as a member, you won’t be able to do so as a mod. Chill out and just wait for whatever decision will come out. If you don’t get chosen, it means that someone else is deemed more fitting and not that people don’t like you.

1. Well, yes, it can. It can be held upon you for the way you act. If you don't flame members, they will follow you and not flame members. If you do flame members, they will also flame members and think it is good.

We all realized that you secretly want to get picked and that you will be angry if it doesn’t happen. It was the same thing with the General mod choice. Just so you know, you have the same chances as everyone else, but with your recent posts, you’re kind of blowing them away.

As I told you before, being liked is not a criteria for getting promoted for anything, at least not in a sane environment. YCMaker doesn’t “like” any of the mods, he just picks whoever he thinks is most fitting, regardless if it’s a nobody, a former mod or your grandma.

 

You’re free to leave and return whenever you want, but don’t let your decisions be influenced by people not liking you. Not only is it all virtual “friendship”/non-friendship, but the odds are high of concentrating too much on one single opinion instead of looking at the larger picture. Hell, I get flame PM’s everyday and if I would listen to some people, I would have packed my bags a long time ago. I did it on other sites I used to be active on, but not for that reason. If someone doesn’t like you, try to stay away from that person and spend more time with those you feel closer to. After all, you can’t expect everyone to like your, right?

About the actual topic, I agree, so far the sections look as if they would survive with one moderator for each one. I also think that giving Flame Dragon the Videogames section is a good starting choice because so far, it doesn’t seem to require a lot of moderation. It’s a typical discussion forum, not really a place where people would start trolling and vandalizing around. Actually, it’s what everything should be like. I think it gives him a possibility to learn a lot, seeing that he has never moderated before.

Hell, I get flame PM’s everyday and if I would listen to some people, I would have packed my bags a long time ago. I did it on other sites I used to be active on, but not for that reason. If someone doesn’t like you, try to stay away from that person and spend more time with those you feel closer to. After all, you can’t expect everyone to like your, right?

About the actual topic, I agree, so far the sections look as if they would survive with one moderator for each one. I also think that giving Flame Dragon the Videogames section is a good starting choice because so far, it doesn’t seem to require a lot of moderation. It’s a typical discussion forum, not really a place where people would start trolling and vandalizing around. Actually, it’s what everything should be like. I think it gives him a possibility to learn a lot, seeing that he has never moderated before.

I won't be angry if I don't get picked, and I wasn't angry when I didn't get picked for General.

 

Yeah, at first I wanted General, but then I realized it was way too much work and I didn't want it anymore.

 

Yes, I "secretly" want to be picked, but I guess it isn't a secret anymore.

Now that I think about it, being a moderator is a lot of hard work and I'm not sure sure I want to be or have the chances of being a moderator anymore.

Right now Multimedia is small and still new 1 mod per section is all that is really needed ATM.

 

Video games is a great section for me to start out in since it is small and will help me adjust to my new role as a mod. I just wished I had a bit more to do, but I should have my hands full by June.

I think Flame Dragon is a good choice. That was my main choice to want to mod(If I mod). But, I actually Flame Dragon is just, or even better, at modding than me. Flame Dragon, I support you all the way. Go Flame!
