[align=center]I was looking at the new art for some of the old monsters like Summoned Skull and Blue Eyes White Dragon when I thought of these. I was also thinking of those other Normal Monster counter parts like Enraged Battle Ox and Obnoxious Celtic Guard and I was also looking at the new Assault (Buster) mode cards that were coming out when I got inspiration to make these.

I picked my favorite Normal Monsters and ones that I thought deserved some attention to convert. All of the advanced forms have the same attack as their Normal Monster counterparts except with a 700 point increase for either their ATK or DEF.

I would be happy to take requests for Normal Monsters that you think deserve to be remade into Advanced forms. Please fix any ocg you find. I would like some help on how to improve the renders, as this is one of my first times rendering and I would like to improve them. I hope you enjoy them because this is the hardest Ive ever worked on a set.

 

I will add more of these very soon and their will also be a booster pack for them as well. I just noticed Colonel Sander's Card Remake thread. Please note, that I am not copying him. I thought of this idea weeks before that thread.

 

 

[spoiler=Effect]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned from your hand except by Releasing 1 "Gagagigo" equipped with "Advanced Form". When 1 of your Normal Monsters or "Advanced/" monsters is selected as an Attack, Spell, or Trap target you can send this card to the Graveyard to negate and destroy that card. If you do, this card is Special Summoned during the 2nd Turn's Standby Phase. When this card is removed from the field (except by its card effect), this card is removed from play.

Such an excellent piece of art with some fairly good attack power back in those days. He even has a story to him which can be found by clicking the links in his lore on YuGiOh Wikia.com. He is featured in many other cards like Draining Shield and D.D Borderline, just to name a few. I thought that if I was going to give Normal Monsters justice, then he had to be the first. His effect is based on his lore and the card, My Body As A Shield and this other card whose name escapes me, where he is defending Maruading Captain from Invader Of Darkness.

 

[spoiler=Effect]This card can only be equipped to a face-up Normal Monster you control. When this card is activated, you can search your Deck for a monster with the same name as the equipped monster with "Advanced/" in its name and place it on top of your Deck. Increase the equipped monster's ATK and DEF by 350. When the equipped monster is Released and sent to the Graveyard, you can return the equipped monster and this card to your Deck.

When this card is destroyed by battle or by your opponent's Monster Card effect, destroy that monster. When this card is removed from the field, it is removed from play.

Mammoth Graveyard was always one of my favorite cards. I just liked him for some reason. At least Konami gave him a little nod with the new Zombie Mammoth card.

 

[spoiler=Effect]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned from your hand except by Releasing 1 "Battle Ox" equipped with "Advanced Form". When this card destroys a monster by battle inflict 600 damage to your opponent's Life Points. Once, you can pay 400 Life Points to negate an attack that targets this card. When this card is destroyed by battle or by your opponent's card effect, it is removed from play.

Battle Ox is probably one of my top 5 favorite Normal Monsters. In his original card picture (This is a render of Enraged Battle Ox) his face was different then other pictures of Minotaurs and bulls Ive seen. His expression was calm when most pictures of bulls and stuff usually show them baring fangs,drooling, and ramming things down like Battle Steer. Battle Ox, however, looks intelligent which separates himself from other bull cards and that it is what I like about him.

Once per turn, you can decrease this card's ATK by 1000 until the End Phase to destroy 1 face-up Effect Monster on the field. When this card destroys a Normal Monster by battle, increase this card's ATK by 100. When this card is destroyed, destroy all other monsters on your field. When this card is destroyed by battle or by your opponent's card effect, it is removed from play.

 

 

I freaking love Summoned Skull. Who doesn't?

The Advanced Concept doesnt seem like an effective one TBQH. It would require too much Dedication to be effective as well as the fact you have to run rather bad Vanillas.

 

Advanced/Mammoth Graveyard is rather underpowered. Sure it's easy to destroy like any other card, I just dont think it needs to be removed from play after use.

Your rite about how they would have to be a litle to focused on bad vanillas. Their sort of just for people who are nostalgic about old cards and such.

Wow... and I thought Advanced/Mammoth Graveyard was Op'ed. Ill work on him. Thx for the feedback.
