      0
    • Pretty solid, needs work but, still solid.
    • Well, its not exactly bad... okay well it is but it could be worse... well not really but i think you know what im trying to say.
    • Curse you deviant of Yugioh, the only TCG that matters
    • You got to be kidding me, I'm not reading that whole thing.

First off, i have no name for it yet.

The Rules are as such,

You Start with 1000 Health and 100 Mana during each of your "Standby Phases" you gain 100 mana (except your first one) start with 6 cards draw 1 each turn (except the first) decks have to have atleast 70 cards and can at most have 100, and no more than 4 of the same card (so would be more limited as with anything of course). If you go first on the first turn you can only "summon"

"Phases" this is a time to point out i dont have words for terms yet, but your turn has 4 parts which i dont have terms for yet, but they would be pretty close to, Standby Phase, Draw Phase, Main Phase and End Phase, in that order

There is no "Battle Phase" being your "monsters" (which i have a word for, its minion) dont attack, they use spell/abilities

These are paid for in either Charges and/or Mana.

The Mana they use to cast spells is your mana, you also need to pay mana to "summon" them or play (almost) any card. If a Minion's spell only cost mana you can use it as many times as you want each turn, if you have enough mana.

Charges, are attached to the creature itself and creatures have a total number of charges they can use each turn (or 2 turns actually, considering it doesnt reset until the beginning of your own next turn), and as a total of how many they can for as long as they on the "field"

For example, if you had a creature with 2/8 charges, if they could use 2 1 charge abilities, the same 1 charge abilitiy twice, or a 2 charge ability each turn, but they couldnt use any charge abilities after they used a total of 8 charges. Pretty often the second number can be infinite, if so its not shown.

Spells your minons cast will very often be things like "Inflict 40 points of damage to target" (Minions have health btw) Minions (as well as spells you cast) have a Speed, like in yugioh it for one effects resolve speed, also any spell that is casted by your oppenent that targets you or one of your minions, any minion you controll can intercept that Spell, which redirects that spell to it. Example player A plays a magic, inflict 50 damage to target, and its speed is 3, and targets you, if you have a speed 4 or higher minion you can make it intercept that spell.

Only a Minion that could be the target of that spell can intercept, so it you had a spell that said inflict 30 damage to opponent, that cant be intercepted.

Also Minions Spells might have a their spell be a different speed than themselves, this is represented with a + or - number at the beginning of a spell, a speed 3 Minion, useing a spell with +2 at the beginning, basically makes it a speed 5 spell.

Also minions can have passive abilities.

As far as Spells you cast there are Permenate Offensive, Permenate Defensive, Permenate Universal, Offensive, Defensive, Universal, and "Equips" (dont have a name for them yet)

permenate are like continuous , non permenant are like normal spells, quick play, normal traps ect. you can play offensive only on your own turn, defensive only on your oppenents turn, and universal whenever, equips are just like in yugioh pretty much

Cards have Elements and Minions also Classes (and Elements)

The Elements are,

Fire, which focuses on damage, often area damage, sometimes even effecting your own Minions

Water, focuses on healing and mana regeneration, has very little damage dealing capabilities per mana cost though

Wind, which is about half defensive abilities, such as damage negation and healing and half offensive abilities.

Earth, large amounts of damage negation, and creatures with high health, and often effects that make it easy for them to block despite their low speed. Possiablely the lowest in damage dealing though.

Ice, can freeze Minions, making them able to do anything for a turn, or more. Can lower your opponent's minions speed, or the speed of non ice spells.

Lightning, high speed spells, very good damage

Light, about 70% defense and 30% offense, alot of healing of course.

Darkness, probally the highest damage dealing, but many abilities have penelties, such has paying health, offering minions, damageing your own minions, discarding cards.

Warp (like arcane, magical energy, useally releated to magic things): Often support cards for any element deck, and possiablely the center of a deck, many odd effects that wouldnt fit another type

Non-Elemental (useally non magic things): its where alot of things that fall under the element "earth" in other things would go, warriors and such.

Classes So Far

Warrior, Mage, Machine, Assassin, Engineer, Creature, Demon, Angel, Flying, Dragon and i should have more later

The 2 ideas so far for Structure Decks.

1. Mostly Dark and Fire, and some Warp, focuses on area damage, destroying both players Minion, but will mostly have attacks that effect every Minion, and would have cards like

Eternal Army – Permanent Offensive Spell - Warp - 70 Mana – Speed 3

Whenever a Minion is destroyed, its owner picks up the top 3 cards in his/her Deck, plays any Minions amongst them, then either discards the rest of them, or pays 10 Health and sends them to the bottom of his/her Deck

As well as minons with effects that go off when they are destroyed.

Second is a Machine/Engineer Deck, a little more straightforward

Engineers in this game useally have effects that can only target machine, and buff them in some way.

Standerd, cant draw when have to rule you lose. if you have 0 health you lose.

Reminds me to much of MTG

assuming thats magic the gathering' date=' the only similarity i see is that there is mana, which works nothing like in it does in magic

[/quote']

MTG is Cold oil.

Yugioh is boiling water.

When combined, huge explosion.

Not simple enough?

Don't combine MTG and Yugioh -.-"

I like the idea of "Phases" oh' date=' wait, that is copied from yugioh!

[/quote']

lol not actually, since mtg has "phases" considering it has an upkeep, a time when you draw, and the remainder of the turn, as well as all attacking having to be at once, so essentially yugioh copied it from magic.

If you seriously plan on making this for profit, posting it on the internet was a very very very bad idea.

The best way to gain publicity for a TGC: make a tv show about it

Worked hella nice for both Yugioh and Pokemon (and Pokemon wasn't even about cards! OMG!)

Having said that, making an interactive (as Bloodrun mentioned) is infinitely more profitable than cards.

You can download flash for free...

And making cards is uber expensive. Ink + special cardboard for cards + making enough copies to sell + lamination = expensive.

or i could design the first couple hundred cards then give another company the right to make it for me recieving a percent of the procedes.
