Overcast Negation. "Spell Quandary" Added

Just a new set, or rather, mini-set as of now. This is one of the many loose end sets I'm starting to get around to.

The set has a primary, and competitive focus on card negation.

More cards to added with time.

Monsters:

Lore: You can tribute this face-up card to negate the activation and effect of a Spell Card and destroy it. During your Main Phase You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard by placing 1 card from your hand on top of your Deck. If this card is sent to the Graveyard after being summoned this way, it is removed from play. You take no Battle Damage from battles involving this card.

Lore: Each time the effect of a Spell Card is negated, you can select 1 card on the field and destroy it. If the selected card is a Spell or Trap and is activated, you can pay 1500 Life Points to negate its effect and destroy it.

MagnimousFairy-1.jpg

Lore: You can discard this card to add 1 Continuous Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. While you control a face-up Fairy-Type monster, you can remove from play this card in your Graveyard to negate 1 attack from a monster your opponent controls.

Spells:

Lore: This card is unaffected by the effect of "Spell Aegis." Look at your opponent's hand. Declare the name of 1 Spell or Trap card. If your opponent has a declared card(s) in their hand, discard all of the declared card(s) to the Graveyard. Your opponent draws 1 card. A Spell card sent to the Graveyard by this is considered negated.

Lore: This card cannot be destroyed by the effect of a Spell Card. Discard 1 card to negate the activation and effect of a Spell Card and destroy it. Both you and your opponent can use this effect as long as this card remains face-up on the field.

Traps:

Lore: Pay 2000 Life Points. Negate the activation of a Normal Summon / Flip Summon / Special Summon and destroy the Summoned monster. A monster destroyed by this card's effect is treated as a Spell Card and is considered negated.

I think the second card could use some ATK power to make it more "wanted'.

Good cards. 8/10

It's a Level 5' date=' how would that add to the card in anyway?

And I did forget image cred, thanks for the reminder, X-31.

It wouldn't add to the card, but I hate tribute monsters with extremely low ATK. If it was your last resort, it wouldn't be of much help either, but that's just me.

Interesting set. I would really like it once (or if) it is expanded a bit.

I don't see any OCG errors, but I've only been here for a day, so I might of missed some...

The names and pics are epic and fit well.

Once expanded a little, I can see them being competitive. Very good job. 9.5/10.

If you add a few more cards to the set, 10/10.

I recently got on a counter/negation hook, so let's look at these.

I'm loving the psuedo-loop Dark Dejector is pushing, since its second effect can negate a Spell and trigger its first effect again, but who plays chainable Spells? (Shrink is awesome.) Getting to destroy a card right after negating one promotes a nice one-two punch. It can evolve a lot of 1-for-1 negations into 2-for-1 destructions. 1500 Life Points to negate a card targetted under its effect seems right when it can (occasionally) lead into another card being destroyed. 9/10.

Magnimous Fairy be grabbin them Valhallas quick. Either there aren't a lot of Continuous Spells used nowadays, or nothing's coming to mind. Or there's a later card that combos with this. *scrolls down* Oh I see. Ok, never mind. A Necro Gardna for Fairies that tutors a Continuous Spell. It obviously has its use since its stats make it a bad candidate for ever being on the field. 8/10.

Spell Aegis is mean. That can easily be devastating in a counter oriented deck. Heck, spell negation is the biggest part of what isn't covered by most. This is relatively perfect, but it seems somewhat overpowered. Sure, both players can use the effect, but you can cripple a Deck with this and a bunch of counter traps and counter-oriented monsters, dodging the use of any Spells of your own while laughing at your opponent. It's the same premise as running Royal Oppression and running no Special Summons of your own, I guess. Giving both players the ability to stop their opponent from doing something cool, then not needing to do it yourself. Good stuff. 9/10.

Not gonna lie, you're good at this stuff. I like most of the cards you make in general.

9/10 overall, would enjoy seeing more.

I rather like the first card. Good but not overpowered.

The second card is OK for its intended purpose.

The third card is a very good card. Kind of a Royal Oppression that negates Spells.

The OCG is flawless from what I can see. I will be honest with you and say the first card is the best one you made out of the 3. A great mini-set.
