Sander Posted February 9, 2009 Report Share Posted February 9, 2009 [spoiler=Effect]When this card is Summoned, Special Summon 1 "Death Bacteria Token" (Zombie-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position for each Zombie-Type monster that you control. Decrease the ATK of all monsters on your opponent's side of the field by 500 for each "Death Bacteria Token" on your side of the field. When a monsters ATK is reduced to 0 by this effect, destroy it and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monsters original ATK. Skyson Posted February 9, 2009 Report Share Posted February 9, 2009 Oh no, you can't get more than 2 Bacteria Tokens out without using some wacky Quickplay Spell/Trap Card that kills off your Zombies (without killing the Plague card itself) before the Plague's effect summons the tokens. If it had an effect to spawn tokens sometime after it was summoned, it could become big and deadly. But since you logically can't get more than two off, you're killing off only the rogue 1000 ATK or less monsters your opponent might be playing, and weaken other monsters enough for the Plague itself to push through, which would be any monster under 2300. Not a lot of utility, it's hardly a threat without the ability to make the "bacteria" tokens more... spreadable. 7/10. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Alordzynix Posted February 11, 2009 Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 I actually think it can get slightly overpowered if I'm right and the decreasing part and the destruction part are continuous effects. At first sight it looks like you can only destroy monsters with 2000 ATK or lower. Because technically you can get out 4 tokens for this cards effect if you keep recycling this card. Still very powerful but hard to pull off and you can easily summon a monster with more than 2000 ATK if you play meta. But if you first summon 1 of these monsters you get 1 token because itself is a zombie type monster and than if you summon ANOTHER you get 2 more tokens. And than all monsters your opponent summons with 3000 ATK or less get destroyed. Making it almost impossible to summon a monster that can destroy this card. With the current ban list this card is searchable with Mystic Tomato, Sangan and Pyramid Turtle and easily Special Summoned/Recycled from the graveyard with all kinds of cards. A very original effect. I don't think it is really worth it at 1 outside a Zombie/Synchro deck but overpowered at 2 or 3 in a deck based around it. The effect is a bit overpowered and could also be deemed as underpowered depending on the situation during the duel if you know what i mean.
