Jesus
I'm sure most of you know what 'The Secret' is. If not, here's a defintion. Apparently, the universe intercepts your brainwaves and re-routes your 'Path of Destiny' to make whatever your brainwave transmitted actually become reality. So that means, If I go and beleive that there will be checks in the mail for myself, then eventually, about a given 1-3 month period, I'll have a wonderful 10,000 dollar check in my mail. But this also means everyday I would have to beleive there would be a check in the mail there just for me, and I would have to think positive everyday. Some leading scientists described it as 'A mystical geanie'. That it will grant you any wish (Your brainwaves). So, for example, if you keep 'wishing' for a check in the mail, or that perfect relationship, that the 'Geanie' (The Universe) will give you what you want. Thus why you would have to think positive everyday. Apparently, what you think becomes your reality. So, if you beleive and keep poisitve that you'll find true love, then you'll find it. But if you're mindset on "Omgz this doesn't work!", then geuss what? As the geanie would say, you're wish is my command. Your goal is to scientifically prove this wrong with a 3 paragraph essay, y'know, just to keep you guys on your toes. Good luck, and may the big mystical geanie in the universe be with you. Lol. Akira
If this were true, then people with mental disabilities who genuinely believe (for they physically cannot otherwise) that giant vampire bunnies would invade the universe would funk the world up. Also, I can say that I'm going to keep wishing for Jaden Yuki to jump out of a manga novel and become a real human (lol), but deep down in the back of my head something will prevent me from actually believing that such a thing would ever happen, so it wouldn't happen by this logic anyway. cbf to write a 3rd paragraph. Zimiri of the Muse
how r we supposed to prove this wrong but here is something i can. Akiza thinks that we should prove wrong the theory that if you think positive each day about 1 item or event it will occur or appear. No one would want to do this for no reward at all. This is physically impossible to do because you would have to conduct a survey of every living person on the planet which would also be physically impossible to do because there are people being born each minute. Also it might not happen that time but it could happen the next time u tried. You also have no proof that this theory is wat caused the even to happen or the item appear. I think i have just proved wrong both u and the theory and u.
Jesus
Elite, Please enlighten me as to how taking a survey would affect this theory in anyway possible? Thanks in advance. ktxhbai.

Binkatong
Wow. This is a bit ironic. My sister has been obsessing over it for a while now. I seriously don't think it's true, but I don't know enough about it to dismiss the idea just yet. I'm weird like that.

CrabHelmet
Awesome, we've now decided that consensus reality is the only reality. Take a survey; the option with the most votes is universal truth.

People with a death sentence wish not to die but they still do. That wouldn't work if it was true, anyway. You would have to keep thinking "I'm going to stay alive! Yay!" for it to work.
