~/Coolio Prime\~
LS is totally luck based, and I don't think it's good that the soon to be top meta deck is going to be luck based.
Chevalier
I am looking at the whole list. And yes' date=' Monarchs WILL be top tier. Sartorius
It's not luck-based. A good build will almost always get the cards it needs to mill, milled and then it'll win. I am looking at the whole list. And yes' date=' Monarchs WILL be top tier. Learn to run them please.[/quote'] What besides Mali and DAD is good? Alright, play me with whatever monarch deck you have holed up against new age Twilight. We'll see what's top tier. Sigh. I don't need to play you to prove anything. My statements are valid and that's all that needs to be said. The new format (At least from the start) will benefit Monarchs and Lightsworn outright. We might even see a good gadget build come along (and I hope we do).

It all revolves around which card they draw and which card they dump via the determining factor known as luck.
That Fat Guy
A good build will almost always get the cards it needs to mill, milled and then it'll win. To what degree of skill can you attribute the cards in your deck ending up in such a way that the cards you want end up being in the top 5 or so? Sartorius
No. Good players make their decks work under most/any situation. Sure, luck is needed in the deck. But then again, in what deck isn't luck needed?

I've been discussing it with people I know from competitive YGO and they agree that Monarchs are going to get a lot more attention from players now. ~/Coolio Prime\~
No, Sartorius' justification is that possibly non-existent people from "competitive YGO" said so.

The new format will also benefit Shapesnatch OTK, simply because they get another big gun doesn't mean they will rise to the top. What would put Monarchs ahead of GBs in anyway? GenzoTheHarpist
Okay Sartorious but we'll see how things go in the jumps of the new meta. I bet you 2-3 decks will be top-tier and none of them will be Monarchs.

Guest PikaPerson01
If he's right then he's right. We don't discriminate against people we don't like, and we're not so full of ourselves we won't ever admit to being wrong. As far as I see it, Lightsworn Swarm quick enough to not allow a decent -1 after a tribute summon bother them so much, and Gladiators have Chariot. Sartorius
*rolls eyes* Whatever you say guys. Try visiting places with good players, like Duelistgroundz. Where's the fun in a forum where maybe one or two players are actually half-decent? There's been a 1300 post thread discussing the list there and most of the opinions match mine. I can't be bothered to cite sources though, as I generally think YCM as a community doesn't care, and people tend to follow one person's opinion and stick with it. Nevertheless, I'm not saying any more about this matter. I'm not saying I'm right nor wrong and only time will tell. Just watch the meta and we'll see what happens. =]

Maybe a slight one... though honestly, I'd have to agree with pikaperson... Lightsworn/twilight will be the deck to beat... Kinda like how tele-dad was... only possibly worse...
