Night Posted December 3, 2011 Report Share Posted December 3, 2011 From the left to the right on each row. Row 1: 1 - Far too dark for my liking, no light source at all. Nothing amazing, 2 - By far one of the better ones. The gradient is far too strong and looks as if you didn't even try after adding the g-map. 3 - Boring, lacks fx. 4 - Flow is f***ed up, but that isn't really a problem as it is monotone. This piece would would be nice if it had a better gradient however. Row 2: 1 - By far the best of the bunch. Simplistic yet a strong compo / atmo. The only problem is the boring BG, but it's still well done. 2 - Messy, too luminous. Try adding a dark overlay around the edges and messing with multiplied g-maps. 3 - Liking this one, the lighting is far too focused however, and lacks in some areas. 4 - Another really good one, reminds me of the retro yu-gi-oh art. Row 3: 1 - Boring, lacks in lighting. Overall probably the worst of the bunch. Overall you have potential, but room for much improvement, like i've said many times. I was looking at some different images, not all of them include lighting. 2: Okay. 3: Lightsworn, bro. 4: It was actually a better one, though in photoshop. 5: Not really. It is just annoying for me to look at sometimes. 6: Black and White testing in Photoshop. Mostly what I can say. 7: I should try adding that? I don't completely follow.
