Honestly' date='how was bhim supposed to know what exactly his friend was going to do? And even if the real bhim asked what his friend was doing,he probably would have lied and said something casual.

AND I QUOTE, right from the hacker.

"BHIMS A ******* RETARD, HE THINKS IM ON MYSPACE"

Maybe this was his plan all along?

Be good and get mod status and then wreck havoc.

Has he ever had any double accounts?

An account called "D-Day" has posted from a matching IP' date=' but he's already explained that. There was also "Made In China", from a different IP of bhim's...

Are you guys being serious?

Firstly, HOW THE HELL DO I CONTROL whether or not my friend knows my password?

CyberDude you haven't been on forever, so shut up. Carelessness? My arse. There was no carelessness involved in this whole situation.

On the first note: By not telling them it, that's kinda the point of a password.

On the second note: It was careless, there is no other word for it, I do not have any idea why your position has been reinstated so quickly, let alone at all. You are a moderator, and despite not have as big a part as some, your account needs to be kept secure at all times.

You guys are acting like he murdered somebody. Corrupt? Misled? He let his friend use his computer' date=' and his friend messed around with it. I trust my friends on my computer, it doesn't mean I'm careless it means I trust them. He's been punished, and I think that yes, he needs to secure his account more. But he's done his share of good things as a mod

[/quote']

He's claiming his friend knew his password, this makes things different than simply someone utilising the "remember me" option... bhim is a great mod, but that's not worth a thing, and has bhim been punished? Not as far as I know.

What I also found suprising was bhim's "friend's" attitude towards Johanderson, it struck me as seemingly familar to bhim himself...

Whats stopping his friend from just exiting the site before bhim got the chance to see? It would be very easy to get away with.

History? Temporary Internet Files?

In an attempt to remain neutral, just a question, RS. Do you check your History or Temp files leasurely? No! Of course not! Nobody does, that is a rediculous thing to do, ecspecially when you truse your friend.

Whatever, all I really need to say as that bhim needs to change his password and keep a unique password for his YCM account. Everybody else who's arguing, shut up in future! It's not really any of your business.

The Frunk has spoken.

I know. I just used it as a stupid comeback. I actually have to though because of my sister.

(Also Frunk, your grammer is coming down...)

Is bhim a mod now again?

...

I'll address a few points here then launch a structured and logical inquest of queries as to what's happened, reiterate the basic points, and then we can lay this to rest with minimal argument. I'm sure a little common sense wouldn't be amiss throughout this rabble.

In laymans terms, I'ma get to the bottom of this.

[Page I]: ... why does nobody acknowledge I'm a mod, dangit? True, it's only over Fanfic and I never post in General [no wonder what with these kinds of "Announcements-turned-into-flaming/spamming"], so I'll concede that.

Ok, that was a rant, onto the actual argument.

Facts:

a) bhim was not in control when this act occured - We've established this as being true using a process of elimination-style of thought. bhim had no motivation and has no penchant for petty malice. Also, we've got his testimony and I think static's as well (not sure of that, I may have missed something), so, yes, I think we can safely say this is true for the time being, in any case.

b) This... "Card Maker Colliseum" is rather large, and has a large following - this really, REALLY proves the seriousness of the situation which these circumstances have... created. We're lucky the entire Contest section wasn't nuked by this trigger-happy hacker. We should be counting our blessings to a degree, here. It could have been worse.

c) bhim has been punished, in a way, by having his moderation status removed - this is tough, yes, but fair and an unfortunate necessity. Now, this can't happen again through his account. It's been clearly stated for all to read that this can't be tolerated, and even the moderators have to play by the rules, otherwise they aren't rules, just a forcibly-imposed will to keep the masses down.

d) It's been clearly stated (Tkill's quoted it for our convenience) within the Forum Guidelines/Rules/FAQ/Terms, etc. etc. that this "My friend used my account" cannot be used by bhim to sidestep the consequences which have been duly handed out to him. That's a hard fact which was instated to help prevent this kind of thing from occuring twice and discouraging people from being careless with password details.

Those are the key facts in this argument. Now, I think I need to ask some questions and I'd like a civil response...

a) bhim: Were you aware your friend had your password details? (this might have been answered, but I don't mind some clarification)

b) Have you instated measures to prevent a reoccurance (password change?)

The rest of you chill! Relax! Please! Try being civil and courteous, the lot of you. It'd be a welcome change if everyone could refrain from flaming and spamming (that's an address to the world in general, not just the internet, this forum, this thread, or a few choice posts within this thread.)

Let's hope this all works out to the relative satisfaction of everyone.

Ciao, all.

Yes, but I for one want this straightened out, and there's nothing better for that than a cold, hard, completely rock-solid factual premise.

Based off that, we can fairly determine if the punishment dealt was adequate or not, if it requires adjustment, and in that case what parameters should be adjusted.

I just want this kind of thing fixed. I'm utterly tired of simple, straightforward announcements descending into badly-structured arguments, flaming and spamming. Bring on a proper debate forum, please.

Well hasn't he been banned for a day and have mod status removed? That seems like punishment to me :/
