Tronta
@ heavy storm guy, counter fairies say hi. they had to pay 4000 lifepoints and discard 3 cards to do it, but they say hi. macro decks also say hi. in fact, most decks that rely on heavy mt control easily prefer trunade to heavy storm. @guys who dont understand macro:if you have a reborn target, your doing it wrong.unless your deck build likes some stuff in the grave, in which case its not straight macro. or its just something different. @reborn in every deck guy:aside from macro, certain oppression decks dont like reborn. i ran one where every monster was more or less un-special-summonable, so my reborn would not only be negated by half my cards, it also would have no targets. except maybe thunder king. meh. or stuff in my opponents grave. i still argue that reborn is more splashable than solemn. Mr. Judgment Dragon
Brain Control is more splashable than either solemn or reborn in the current meta. This. Because LS does not need Solemn and Macro Decks (at least from my experience) dont need Reborn. Brain Control can go almost anywhere. Hell' date=' it can go anywhere. Lightsworn Wulf in Hand = Dead Draw. Not that this really has anything to do with this topic, Solar Recharge, Lumina, Charge of the Light Brigade, Beckoning Light, Monster Reincarnation, and the natural self-milling abilities of LS say hi. Wulf is not going to be and is not a dead draw in LS.

The fact that Wulf needs Lumina, Solar Recharge, etc etc to become useful pretty much prove that it's a dead draw you know. It's a useless card in hand, only made "useful" by the fact that it is a card, to be ditched by Lumina, or that it is an LS, to be ditched by Solar Recharge. It forces your opponent to slow down and level the playing field. Trying to play solemn in a fast paced deck is almost suicide.

So far, the only reason that I didn't run Solemn in a fast deck was because I had no room for it, or the deck didn't work well with it because of the cost. If you run Macro and still don't run Reborn, then you deserve to lose. Black Garden decks don't need Brain Control, on account of your opponent hardly ever having anything worth taking after Black Garden is through with it. In Macro, your goal is to get your and your opponent's cards RFP'd, Reborn, which only targets monsters in the Grave, will often not be able to get you anything good or in some cases anything at all. Not to mention the release of DDR.

Not to mention the release of DDR. Even still reborn should still be played. Lets look at it statisticly. the average Macro deck plays 3 D.Fissure 2 Macro Cosmos. No other removal cards. 3+2=5 5/40=1/8=.125*100%=12.5%*6=75% Thus you only have a 75% chance to have these in your opening hand. plus with the existance of Heavy Storm, Dust Tornado (which you know will be sided in game 2) MST and maybe even giant trunade, that makes that 75% not last very well. Personally Id side in 2 Dusts and a MST or a 3rd dust depending on whether or not Ive got an MST (cause honestly I dont think I got one xD). I also main Heavy. 1+2+1=4/40=1/10=.1*100%=10%*6=60% Thus Ive got a 60% chance of knocking it out first turn. plus the 2 solemns I play if I go first brings that to more than a 75% chance. Case in point its easy to get around Macro thus your gonna get stuff in the grave. Reborn must be played.

There's a slight difference between those two, isn't there? With fair play in mind, TeleDAD was fast, BUT it was more of a control deck. Could it otk, yes sometimes, but that wasn't its main focus. It was a Synchro tool box with a field nuker, that was it. When I meant fast, I was refering to FTK's and decks that focused only on the OTK.
