dead draw Posted March 21, 2009 Report Share Posted March 21, 2009 I see you took my advice. love the new cards, but I thought you could make the new cards a little differently:Castling: (counter Trap) Activate only by paying half your life points when a "Chess Rook" monster is targeted by your opponents card effect. Negate the effect, and destroy the card. Then you can tribute the targeted "Chess Rook" monster to Special Summon 1 "Chess King" monster from your Hand or Deck, ignoring the summoning conditions. (I know it's not like the real Castling, but this would make the deck way more playable) Promotion: Great. I love itEn Passant: (Quick Play spell) Activate only when a "Chess Pawn" monster you control battles your opponents monster in an adjacent Monster Card Zone. Negate the battle, and destroy your opponents monster. Then, switch control your "Chess Pawn" monster to your opponent (It is placed in the same Monster Card Zone the monster it battled was in) Not perfect OCG, but you get the idea. 9.8/10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
legendhiro Posted March 21, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2009 but an en passant is a somewhat defensive move (or at least in response to your opponent's move), so i made it a trap, and castling is a king move, always tough and a little risky, and usually used to set up some kind of counter offensive, so i made it a spell. trust me, they're fine. the purpose of these advanced chess moves is to force you to think of unusual ways to use them well.
