I don't know if Light is gay, but I do know that he is a Magnificent Bastard with a god complex, and he was probably crazy from the first episode (seriously, no sane person cackles like that when discovering they have the powers of a God of Death.) Yet, this person insists that he only cracked under pressure, and did the things he did in the final episodes, out of desperate fear of being caught. Lame excuse, IMO.
