Rhymes With Orange...

Final Fantasy Revolution

Are you stupid I Stopped reading after that first word.

Well, he isn't stupid, he is just using "half-rhyming," another form of rhyming. Instead of using the whole word, he uses half of the word to compensate with it's structure. You see, people half-rhyme "silver" (another one of those weird words) with salver and solver, since to full word must have "ilver" in it for it to rhyme fully. With orange, to make it rhyme fully the full word must contain "orange" or a sound-alike, which no word in the English dictionary has. Though that may be true, there is one word that does rhyme with orange, and it is a town in the European region, I think.

Hope this helped, and I am sorry for being so wordy.

Nothing rhymes with orange...

As for the Door Hinge thing, I remember seeing that in one of the Monkey Island games. No matter what you tried to tell them, these pirates would sing a stupid song that rhymed with everything you said. You had to say something associated with Orange in order to get them to stop and take you to shore...

no, they rhyme because of the end sounds they make, the ja sound so it's because they end with ge. It's really just a cheap way to get around the problem. So no, they don't technically rhyme but they are still accepted if you accidentally make a poem with orange in it, of course I don't know why you would put orange in a poem. But that's your prerogative >.>

Fix'd Bloody's grammar, cos I can. Also, they are half-rhymes, granted, but not proper rhymes by definition.
