Black Magician's Daughter

Each time a Spell Card is activated, place 1 Spell Counter on this card (max. 3). Increase the ATK of this card by 300 for each Spell Counter on this card. When this card is destroyed while it has 3 Spell Counters you can add 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.[/align]

I like the idea, it doesn't really look overpowered. it has some drawbacks.

-Its a Level 5 with 1800 ATK so it is a weak monster that requires Tribute.

-You could not need to Tribute with:

1)Magician's Circle, which is slow.

2)Magical Dimension which is fair ;)

-It has (max. 3) in the effect, I usually don't like to use cards with a limit on the Spell Counters that can fit on them. The ones that usually have that limit, are the ones that could be broken if they didn't. Breaker could be a Harpie's Feather Duster & Defender could fit even more protection. But I don't really think this card needs that Limit, Spellcasters (at least in my Deck) are not desperate for a searcher.

This card remainds me kinda to "Dark Red Enchanter, which also gains 300 for each Spell Counter, also recharges the Spell Counters when Spells activate, also requires a tribute, and its effect is once per turn while this card is a 1 time effect. + DRE comes with no limit in Spell Counters and 2 free when Normal Summoned.

-Last, more searchability never hurts ;) but might aswell use Foolish Burial & Magical Examplar to get what you want. And just like Magical Examplar, its limited to Spellcasters

 

I like the effect, I like the pic, I like the Level, the ATK the card can work despite all what I said (forgive me if I suddenly contradict myself or somewhere I don't make sense, I suddenly got sick ^-^" )

 

For newer OCG, I would change the part of:

 

Increase the ATK of this card by 300 for each Spell Counter on this card.

 

to:

 

This card gains 300 ATK for each Spell Counter on it.

 

 

9/10 what else could I say :)

Heh. In many respects I consider this a SBM + BMG. Originally it was gonna summon BM or BMG but I felt that to be too situational compared to adding a Spellcaster, but yeah.

I like it alot! I think the img is perfect for a daughter of the Black Magician. I like the effect, but I've never been too crazy about cards that needed stuff like spell counters, rock counters, etc; I've found them way too confusing for me. lol. But I really like it! ^__^
