1) Swine Flu, is Pig Flu. H1N1, is a strain, in the case of the current 'swine' flu, its 1/3 Swine Flu, 1/3 Avian (Bird) Flu and 1/3 Human Flu (And by the WHO is known as a different name)

2) Alot of the early infections were caused by close proximity to pigs, but that doesn't mean they should be culled like in Egypt.

3) No, Human Flu is still worse. Its all dependent on the person who is infected (if they have a weak immune system or a condition that has caused it to be weak like AIDS and HIV)

4) Yes, it can reach there, generally seems to have traveled by people traveling to Mexico.

5) Egg

H1N1 is something along to the lines of its scientific name. Just think humans=Home Sapiens.

It started in pigs, hence why it is the swine flue.

No. The death rate from swine is low if you think about how many people have gotten sick from it.

Yes. Just be happy it isn't there ATM. Living in NY sucks since like have the city is having problems with it. Hell that is the reason I didn't hang out with TAG this weekend since they thought his sis might have had it.

Now for the reason I'm posting, the egg came first because the genes of the animal that mutated into the chicken mutated while it was still an egg, hence it became a chicken while still in the egg.

lol You can't get it from pigs -.-"

Don't be so sure,I suggest you watch your back cuz Porky ain't done with us yet...

Seriously now,the virus itself originated from a pig-infecting virus. But viruses mutate extremely easily, and so because of the mutation that virus became able to infect us as well.So it may be another species of virus now...but I'm not sure....

viruses have species now????..i thought there were only types

Well the HIV virus is a species/type of virus right? The thing with viruses is that they mutate so easily it's hard to tell how many versions/sub-species of let's say flu exist.I'm not sure what terms you use when reffering to types/species of viruses. They're just a piece of DNA after all...[/align]

The difference is nothing' date=' EXCCEPT THE NAAME UNLESS U DIDNT NOTICE THAT.

Retarded thread full of retards.

They changed the name because [b']people thought if you ate pigs you could contract swine flu.[/b]

Like Russia did. :D

And there was the whole "Egypt slaughtering every pig in the country" fiasco >_>

Also, old media scare for gullible people is old and obvious XD

And viruses have strains (that's the word you're looking for).
