Card Lore:

Once per turn, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up Sea Serpent-Type monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster. Destroy 2 cards on the field and Special Summon 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster from your Graveyard. If you do, the equipped monster cannot declare an attack during this turn.

Card Lore:

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this card on the field, you can equip it to a monster you control as an Equip Spell Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position by removing all Ocean Counters on the equipped monster (you can only unequip this card if the equipped monster has at least 1 Ocean Counter on it). When you Summon a WATER monster, place 1 Ocean Counter (max.3) on the equipped monster. During the Damage Step, increase the ATK of the equipped monster by 100 for each Ocean Counter on this card times the number of WATER monsters you control. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.)

Balance/Usefulness: Both seem balanced. Card A seems more useful to me, though. It would've been even, but Card B only does the ATK increase during the Damage Step.

OCG: About even, from what I'm looking at.

Pic: Card B. It has more "Life" in it.

Other: Card A. It followed the set ID random number portion of the card format.

Personally I'd disagree for the simple fact that firstly, the main effect isn't stated weather it can be used equipped or not equipped which therefore doesn't make it much of a union since unions help the equipped monster, secondly the effect is both situational and abusive. It means you can tribute a sea-serpent, destroy 2 cards and then bring the monster you tributed back since it would be in the graveyard, but that is just my opinion.

Card A:

Once per turn, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip this card to a face-up Sea Serpent-Type monster you control as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster to destroy 2 cards on the field and Special Summon 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster from your Graveyard. If you do, the equipped monster cannot declare an attack during this turn.

-This card's effect doesn't suggest that it needs to be equiped to do the effect.

-I like that pic from a Magic the Gathering card

-It doesn't have the usual Union effect of "If the equiped monster would be destroyed, destroy this card instead."

Card B:

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this card on the field, you can equip this card to a monster you control as an Equip Spell Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position by removing all Ocean Counters on the equipped monster (you can only unequip this card if the equipped monster has at least 1 Ocean Counter on it). When you Summon a WATER monster, place 1 Ocean Counter on this card (max 3). During the Damage Step, this card gains 100 ATK for each Ocean Counter on it times the number of WATER monsters you control. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.)

Both pics get about the same credit for me. Second card has more corrections (including extra commas). but looks more balanced to me than first card. soo.....

I vote for card B.

Actually the union based effects were copied off a real union monster. Also why did you change the counter part to 1?

Because it was a mistake from my part...ups.. fixing back to 3 ^-^"

The Union based effects on all cards on the game up to now (that I know of) are all old OCG so... I wonder about that...

Thanks for voting everyone. Even if i agree with you Hallelujah Haptism, others find it differently.

Every person has his/her own vantage point. As stated in the post, the first person to get 6 votes win. Both of you did well. It was quite a close match. As much as i like to keep this match going, i'm holding my rules firm and just. So for this match, Card A wins.

Final Tally:

Card A: 6

Card B: 4

It was a close one though.

This match can now be closed.
