But I always thought his left eye socket was so that he could implat other eyes into it so that he can obtain their powers. I dunno though. Raiga may have been a filler villain, but it's possible for Kishimoto to legitimately write him in as a canon character. However, we'll need to see what became of the other four Swordsmen. Does Suigetsu count as a half because he trained to become one before being captured by Orochimaru. So the new Rasengan variant in the 4th movie is a Rasengan kunai... Meh.
