I have a question for death metal fans:

Why is the voice distorted to such unintelligible extremes? Are we supposed to appreciate the riffs' date=' the drums, and abhor the voice?

Just asking. I'm a bit curious why so many people like this.

It's just a different style of music.

=/ Same reason all the other styles of music have variations.

Himsa = AWF ripoff =p

Except Himsa formed first.

We enjoy the energy or the mood of the music. When I'm angry, I listen to death metal. It intensifies my emotion.

Never mind the lyrics?

Or is there a way to actually understand what the vocalist is saying?

Gtfo...

You grow to understand what they are saying because you listen to it a lot.

You can't understand Finnish if you don't speak it. >_>
