Flash Flyer - Sakura
I tried to make an Advanced Holo using computerwhiz98's tutorial, but I don't think it turned out right. So here's what I ended up with: I tried but I think the character's supposed to be OVER the sheet or something. ~Can I have some critique/some improvements~
Rise of the Eldrazi
It looks like a normal holo
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I know, I was trying to do an Advanced Holo, but it kinda came out this way (like a reg holo) [i know an Advanced Holo is supposed to have the character on top of the sheet)
Yondaime
All you have to do is render the image then copy it, then paste it on a new document. Copy the holo sheet, then paste the character on there. The holo isn't that good though. It's not supposed to go outside the picture box.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Oh, that's what you do for it? Remember I told you I was following computerwhiz98's GIMP tutorial for it. (They NEVER helped!)
+Jono
- Spills onto frame- Doesn't blend with the character It's nice, but it spills out of the frame and you should rub out the parts covering the character.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well I don't know how yet, that's why it looks like a regular holo
JG.
There's an easier way. Paste the holosheet on as you would, then get a brush and erase the character. Not as presice, but if you do it good noone will notice.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I post the holo sheet as normal. Then I use Paths tool and trace around the character like I would do for a render. Then, I click the Opacity option in GIMP, click the eye, then select Dodge to make it (It's what CW98 said to do, I'm just following that tutorial)
Kuro no Keiyakushu
To avoid the holo spilling out onto the frame you should holo the picture, THEN upload it and make your card - works for me. BTW, nice card you got there =D
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I holo the pic while it's on the card. But thanks though :D
+Jono
Well I don't know how yet' date=' that's why it looks like a regular holo[/quote'] What do you mean? Just select the picture with the rectangular marquee tool then make a new layer and fill it with the sheet. That stops it spilling out. Then you can just rub out bits of the holo sheet layer that cover the character.

LiAM
It's relatively easy to holo. Theres 2 methods. 1: Draw round the monster and holo that way, deleting the parts that cover the borders+card.or2: place the holo on the card, erase the parts that cover the box and erase over the monster. Both methods give you an advance holo. Method 2 is good for complicated detailed monsters, and 1 is good for simple structure monsters.I use method 2 cos I dont like lasooing the monster then inverting to paste the holo. So just paste>dodge>erase.
