Peppa
Unveiling of Darkness Before you start reading, PLEASE NOTE THAT MANY OF THE OCG ERRORS YOU SEE ARE PROBABLY FIXED, I JUST HAVE NOT BOTHERED TO UPLOAD ALL OF THE PICTURES AGAIN. You may still post fixes, but they have probably been caught. Thanks! If you want me to rate any cards of yours, tell me in your post! I'd be happy to rate your cards if you rate mine! Welcome to the "Unveiling of Darkness" Booster Thread! I have recently started this set. Currently it has [13] cards. I don't know how many I will end up with. The theme to this set is "Time." The themes are portrayed via the two dominant monster groups in this set (along with support cards) - Centurys and Burning Eternities. The "Century" cards are the light and while the "Burning Eternity" cards represent the dark. P.S. If anyone would like to make me a booster image, P.M. me! I know they are overpowering in some cases, I meant that. Please comment on my OCG and tell me if there is any word choice issues that I could shorten the effect with! It gets kinda scrunched... Century Cards: Century Dragon Effect:This card cannot be normal summoned or set. Remove 5 cards from the top of your deck from play to special summon this card from your hand. When this is card targeted by a card controlled by your opponent, pay 2000 Life Points to negate the card's effect and destroy it. Century Knight Effect:This card cannot be normal summoned or set. Remove 5 cards from the top of your deck from play to special summon this card from your hand. Remove one card on the field from play by removing one card from the top of your deck from play. Century - Last Hour Effect:This card is destroyed during the End Phase of this turn. Remove "Century Dragon" + "Century Knight" from your graveyard or hand from play to activate this card's effect: Destroy all cards on the field except this card. One Thousand Years Effect:Pay 500 Life Points to halve the ATK of all face up monsters on your opponent's side of the field. Additionally, during your End Phase, pay 500 Life Points to place 100 "Year" counters on this card. You may remove 100 "Year" counters from this card per turn during your Standby Phase to Special Summon one monster from your graveyard. Burning Eternity Cards: Burning Eternity - Sickness Effect:When a card is sent to the graveyard, discard one card from the top of your deck to the graveyard to inflict 500 points of direct damage to the card's owner. Burning Eternity - War Effect:Your opponent may not activate trap cards during your Battle Phase. In addition, each time a monster on your side of the field is destroyed as a result of battle, you may choose to add the destroyed card to your hand. Burning Eternity - Death Effect:During your opponent's Standby Phase, discard your hand to destroy all cards on the field and in your opponents hand, except this card. Increase this card's ATK by 100 for each card destroyed. Burning Eternity - Last Hour Effect:This card can only be Special Summoned by offering "Hour" tokens on your side of the field as a tribute. The ATK of this card becomes the combined DEF of "Hour" tokens used as tributes. If this card is targeted, you may switch the target of the card to a "Hour" token. Last Warrior Effect:This card may only be activated when there are one or more face up cards that include "Burning Eternity" in their name on the field. During your Standby Phase, you may pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon one "Hour" Token (Fiend/Type-DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 2500) in Defense Position to your side of the field. Other Cards in the set: Ryos, The Giver Effect:Negate the activation of an opponent's card effect and destroy it. Your opponent gains 1000 Life Points each time this effect is activated. Total Destruction Effect:You may activate this card when your opponent summons a monster. Destroy all monster cards on the field. You and your opponent both pickup (not draw) 5 cards. Special summon all monsters drawn to the field regardless of the card's stars or effect and send the remaining cards to the graveyard. Each player adds the ATK of his/her monsters. The player who has the lower total takes damage equal to the opponent's total. Fury of The Elder Effect:During each player's standby phase, roll a dice two times. Add the result and destroy all monsters on the field who's total level is less than the total. Father Time Effect:Destroy all cards on the field and both players discard their hands to the graveyard. Neither you nor your opponent can attack in their respective turn immediately following this card's activation. Each player's Life Points is set to 1. During each player's standby phase, one counter is put on this card. When this card has six counter's on it, the duel ends in a tie. Reborn Effect:Select one card from your Hand, Graveyard, or Deck. The selected card is removed from play. During your next Standby Phase, add the card to your Hand or place it on the field in an appropriate position. The Anti-Heart Effect:Pay 1000 Life Points. Switch control of your monsters with your opponent's monsters. Any suggestions of OCG, shortening, or making them slightly more balanced are appreciated! But again, note, I did want them to be a bit overly powerful!
ragnarok1945
I prefer the 2nd pic of Century Last Hour Ryos's effect is simple, but it works (2000 LP gain for your opponent might be too much, I'd drop it to 1000) 8/
Peppa
I updated the pics! I made a mistake in the OP! And thanks Rag!
ragnarok1945
For Century Dragon, you're supposed to say this card cannot be special summoned except by removing the top 5 cards of your deck from play. Its effect is a little too simple and thus UPed The same is true for Century knight 7/
Peppa
So you say it is underpowered? How would you suggest making it a bit more...powered?
ragnarok1945
For Century Knight and Dragon, I'd start by giving it another effect.
Peppa
Hm, I'll think about doing that. I'm really surprised you didn't say they were way overpowered! Hah, thanks for the OCG help though, it condensed the effect wording!
ragnarok1945
I didn't say they were OPed because removing 5 cards from your deck from play is quite a steep cost.
Peppa
Yes, but it also means that you can special summon it the moment you draw it ;) But I'll think about effects. What about for Century Knight, he can remove any number of cards on the field from play for the same amount from the top of the deck? Or still too UP'ed? ragnarok1945
That's a little TOO powerful for that suggestion, unless the max he's allowed to remove is 2.
Peppa
Hmmmm. Thinking about when it inflicts damage, opponent discards one card?
ragnarok1945
That could work, balances out enough.
Peppa
Mkay. Thanks for the suggestions. These are my first cards so your a great help.
ragnarok1945
Glad I could be. Had it not been for the effect that it lasts only 1 turn, your Last Hour card would have been too powerful as well.
Peppa
Yeah. I figured it'd be good for a quick win. If it could do that every turn...
ragnarok1945
atk isn't everything, and 5000 atk doesn't guarantee anything
Peppa
Hahaha..true...stupid Kuriboh. Still looking for other people's thoughts...
Blamonchesix
Your cards are OK. Really. Suggestions: "Father Time" is too dangerous. "Solar Flare Dragon", "Bowganian", "Burning Land" are just some cards that can make a sure win. (For you and your opponent.) (>_<)"Fury of the Elder" seems similar to "Blind Destruction" Other Cards are A-OK! (^_^)
ragnarok1945
Fury of the Elder pic is overused Blind Destruction's pic isn't as impressive Father Time's effect is WAY too powerful 6.5/
Peppa
Haha, I was actually modeling Fury of The Elder after Needle Wall :P I'll look for different pictures... For Father Time do you think I should set the Life Points higher? Thanks for the comments! Very much!
Sander
Total Destruction is overpowered -_-
Peppa
It's supposed to be! :) How else am I supposed to own my friends with it? Haha. In all seriousness though, I might change the last three cards up a bit...
AfterBurner™
I like your cards they stand out and look really cool the pics fit although i think a 5 card cost may be a bit to much just my thoughts8/
Peppa
Thanks for the support! The only reason I made it 5 cards is because it would normally be a 3 tribute summon, meaning it is much easier to special summon it in this way than to sacrifice three monsters. Snitch
Anything summoned should be capitalised. Normal Summoned.Flip Summoned.Special Summoned.
