"Come on Luke, what gave you the impression you were a loser? Surely beating not one but three Knights shows you're not!" Garnet couldn't help but feel desperate. Why was Luke too thick to realise everything had just been an act to get him upset? OK, maybe they did drill it in a bit too far - but another Knight was down!

"OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE!" screamed Garnet furiously. "COULDN'T YOU TELL WE WEREN'T SAYING THEM FROM OUR HEART? WE HAD TO MAKE SOMEONE UPSET, SO WE JUST THREW A BUNCH OF LIES AT YOU! I THOUGHT YOU COULD TELL BUT CLEARLY YOU COULDN'T!"

 

Suddenly there was a flash and the Hate Knight appeared. Garnet promptly looked surprised, before her eyes narrowed dangerously. On went the Hamster ears, and duel disks activated.

Garnet drew. "I begin with Top Gear Test Track. Now I set two, then I play James May, Captain Slow. Now I end."

The Knight drew. "I play Raging Flame Sprite. Now direct attack! I set two and finish."

Garnet drew. "First I reveal Hammerhead. Now I play Jeremy Clarkson, and I'll tune both monsters together for Captain Slow, Patriot of Spanners. Next I'll return them to the field, and tribute my two James monsters, as well as another James May, and play Dark James May. Now I return all three monsters, before I use Double Summon for Richard Hammond, Hamster Warrior. I discard a card and you loose 700 Life Points. Now I blow up the field and you loose!"

"Ryu watches all of this from above the tower, he had been doing alot of thinking, maybe these were the intentions of the Knights, or at least these last few knight, we would get so desperate to defeat them, so desperate to save the island, that we would be willing to hurt each other, just to awaken a knight spirit, 9 knights have so far appeared, only 1 not having been defeated, the one that took Happiness away from Luke...why was it that the knights with positive emotions were so much harder, and if so, why wasn't Ryu being targeted, he was as happy as could be now that he had Lucy's affection...so maybe it was the fact that his father was still away, no matter what the emotion....these fights were quite strenuous on the students.

--sry i haven't been on, i've been getting over flu :(

 

Ahrun had alot on his mind recently. How was he going to tell Joanna the truth about how he felt about her? What were these Knights waiting for? Why did none yet show themselves? And what was going to happen to the island if they weren't defeated?

 

"For some reason..." he thought to himself. "things are beginning to look rather bleak." he said as he sat under a tree. "So much has happened here, and this is just year 1. Who knows of what's to come."

"What you thinkin' about?" he jumped when Joanna's voice was heard from behind him.

 

"Oh! Hey Joanna. Nothing much, just life and what's been going on around here." she smiles at him.

 

"Sounds like fun. Mind if i sit and think with you?" Athrun wouldn't have liked anything more then for her to do just that.

 

"Knock yourself out." he said as the Obelisk smiled and sat under the tree next to him.

The Knight vanished and a single orb was left behind. Garnet slowly walked over and picked it up. "Don't get me wrong Luke. I like you; it's just your self-negativity I hate." With that she teleported to the bomb, releasing Luke from her magic.

Athrun and Joanna watched as the sun began to set from acrossed the ocean. It was a beautiful sight and Joanna just sighed. "Marvolus isn't it? How something like this common can be so amazing." Athrun nodded.

 

"Yeah, once you take in it's beauty it's really something to appriciate." Joanna smiled and continued to watch it. Tis was perfect. They where together, the sun was setting no one was around. This was the chance to tell her. "Joanna....."

 

"You love me don't you?" she said without even looking at him.

 

...........yeah, just the way he planned.

"I can tell from how you've been acting. How shy you get and how you talk around me. But to be completely honest, i love you too Athrun. With all my heart." Athrun was on Cloud 9. He didn't know how it happened, but the girl he loved loved him back. "However, i'm not gonna go out with you. Not yet anyway.

 

Down to Cloud 4.5

 

"Wait! Why not?! You just said...."

 

"I know what i just said you goofball, but it wouldn't be as fun if i just agreed and we started dating." She stood up and faced him. "How about this? We''ll duel. If you win i'll go out with you, no questions asked. But if i win, then you find someone else. Deal?" What the hell was happening?! She confessed her love but didn't want to date him, and now they had to duel to decide? Athrun stood up and activated his disk.

 

"As weird as this is, i never back down from a duel. You're on Joanna!"

 

"Let's do this Athrun!"

Suddenly Nightshroud appears next to Ryu. "They're having a moment. Leave them alone."

 

"I'll go first." said Athrun as he drew. "I'll begin with 2 face downs and a monster in defense mode. That's all." The female Obelisk drew next.

 

"Since you have a monster and i don't i'll normal summon BW Sirocco. (2000) Then since i have a BW on the field i can bring forth Bora the Spear. (1700) Next comes Sirocco's effect. By transfering the attack of every BW to a single BW i control i can give Bora 3700 attack! (3700) Now Bora, attack his facedown monster. Whirlwing Spear!" The attack shot towards Athrun but he was ready.

 

"Go Scrap Iron Scarecrow! This will negate Bora's attack, and since you used Sirocco's effect, he can't attack." he said relieved. Joanna smiled.

 

"Pretty good, i'll set one card face down and end."

"Draw! Now i summon my Junk Synchron (1300) Then i'll flip my Tuning Ware face up and tune them both together! Tuning Ware is now 2 stars due to his effect. Synchro Summon, Junk Warrior!!! (2300) and due to tuningware's effect i draw on card. Now Junk Warrior, attack Sirocco. Scrap Fist!" The synchro monster hit the BW head on and Joanna took the damage.

 

Athrun: 4000

Joanna: 3700

 

"I'll end my turn there." he said, as she drew.

 

"I'll Special Summon summon Gale the Whirlwind. (1300) Then since i control a BW monster i can Normal summon Elphin the Raven (2200) Then i'll use Gale's effect to cut Junk Warriors attack in half." (1150)

 

"Ngh!" Athrun wasn't fond of that move.

 

"Next i'll tune him and Bora together. Synchro Summon, Blackwing Armor Master!" (2500) Athrun glanced at the 2 monsters.

 

"Not good."
