Furryism?

Furries frighten me. That's all I have to say about that subject.

I'm not sure whether or not I should ban you for apparently not reading the first post' date=' and subtly flaming. Meh... A warn.

  • If he was banned for that post, that's ridiculous. Anything else, IDC.
  • Calling yourself a literal "furry" is a stretch too far, but saying that you are a bit more "in touch" with animals strikes less of a lulzy chord among ppl who don't share your views. What if your ancestors bred dogs? It could be a historical trait. But saying you're turning into a dog is just kinda...childish...
  • tl;dr, you wouldn't get flamed if you worded this a bit more professionally.
"I have more in common with dogs for reasons unknown, and they're becoming more apparent"
    over
"whee I am a furry now"

No he was banned for another thread.

And as far as I know, my relatives were all missionaries, politicians and royalty.

No real dog thing in there.

Okay, ready for it... this is going to be harsh... I don't mean to be rude, but...

Good for you! :D

But in all seriousness, good for you to be letting you be yourself. I think it's silly for someone to try to repress something, because it never solves the problem, and oftentimes causes more problems than what you are trying to remove.

It seems interesting... You mentioned that you sniffed your therapist's arm (which I'm not going to lie, it produced lulz) and it made me wonder... Are these just tendencies or are they like urges, where you feel you NEED to sniff, much like a dog would?

If they're intense urges, it's definitely something I would talk to a therapist about because sometime down the line that could cause trouble for you, especially if they're uncontrolable urges. It could definitely interfere with your social life and work-life.

If they're just tendencies, it doesn't seem as bad.

You've got me interested in this now... What other tendencies or weird traits does this produce?

That. I can smell very acutely' date=' even with a stuffy nose.

I often growl when mad/need to let something out.

Have been known to run on all fours after a given time.

Can walk like a whisper.

Have better hearing than most people my age.

Up until a couple years ago, I could see obscenely well (my eyes are going blind).

I'd howl if something excited me (though I controlled this impulse more often than not).

Etc...

[/quote']

Purely tendencies. Though sometimes I can't control it.

Like in moments of extreme stress.

What would you do in moments of extreme stress?

Sorry if my questions are badgering you... I'm just interested and curious.

You know how a hurt puppy acts without its mom? Yeah...

Like that. I'm even on all fours crying and whelping.

That is really odd... I'm going to have to look farther into this...

Your mom might technically be a bitch.

Enjoy the ban.

I want serious responses. Not trolls/morons.

In Doco's defense, "jabroni" is a proper term for a female dog. So yes, it theoretically applies and there is no need for a ban. A warn for Mild/Intentional spamming, yes, but a three-day ban? Methinks not.

I think it was more the case that calling one's mother a jabroni in any context is offensive whatever way you look at it, whether or not meant as a joke/technicality.

I see your point, but even with that. A single sentence isn't worth a three-day ban.

Are you sexually attracted to animals? Because if you aren't' date=' your no furry by internet definitions.

[/quote']

No I'm not.

But then... Why would I care for "internet definitions", beyond being able to understand them?

3 Days! Oh noes! This is inhuman! Calling someones mother a (word for female dog) is not enough reason to make someone unable to post on a website based on a childrens cardgame, for three whole days! Thats 72 hours! That's one hour too many! Clearly you are abusing your position!

If you didn't catch the sarcasm in all that, you need to kill yourself...

  • I just think the majority of the skepticism could have been avoided if you didn't refer to it as "furryism"...
  • By internet standards, well...not gonna go into it, but me and a lot of others would just slander it with the
technical "furries" we think of (god, those YTP's are messed up XD).
  • Docomodrake's ban was kinda justified. I'd be pissed if anyone just blatantly called my mother that, when i'm around.
  • On a neutral side, what kind of things do you do / have urges to do?
Do you get angry at animals that you don't like, feel territorial?
(for the doctor arm-sniffing thing though, if I was him i'd be like...wtf is going on? >>; )
  • but it could just be like someone else said, a chemical imbalance that causes these urges.
I just believe that these don't necessarily happen on their own, an anomaly. Believing it's happening
to you (or willfully wanting it) could kinda trick your subconcious (this one episode of some tv show... house md, i think)
where this couple went in with pregnant signs, but she wasn't actually pregnant. She wanted the kid so bad
she believed her husband's lie that she was pregnant, and she actually had a stillborn or something still there.
So just thinking it was happening to you could have either made it start happening, real or not.
  • Anyway, i'm done on this topic. Not because I think it's weird (and I don't, it's reasonably explainable), I just feel
like my view is enough and probably won't be shared.

Chemical imbalances FTW.

Eh' date=' if you are a furry, then accept it. I'm pretty sure it's been ingrained in your personality for so long that it'd be impossible to change it by now.

Anyways, what kind of dog? I have a greyhound. :3

[/quote']

A malamute.

A pack animal that loves solitude.

Furrys are retarded because they think they are the rencarnation of animals' date=' but all tend to pick the same ones, like canines, horses and felines.

Yawn, it's just a weird fad.
