"I... yes, it's nice to see you too," Eden said. Her arms had reached out reflexively to hug Emily, and she stuffed her hands in the pockets of her vest. It was as though she wanted to hug, but... it was just so awkward.

The last time Eden had been hugged was three years ago. Not because she had no friends, but because she never had time for a touching emotional scene. The Seraphs kept her busy.

She moved for the exit, waving a hand over her shoulder to beckon her cousin. "I assume that is all of your luggage. Come on then, my apartment building is a block from here."

Emily fumbled around with her bags, one handbag over each shoulder, a rather strongly coloured red and yellow one and a much more calm cream one which matched her dress, a polka-dot suitcase rolling along on its little wheels behind her and a black and pink plastic carrier bag which was begging to stretch out in her free hand. It was a god-send that Eden's apartment wasn't any more than a block away, carrying all of this was a complete pain.

After gathering her bags together, she moved as quickly as she could to catch up with Eden who'd already managed to get to the exit. Her attempt at moving quickly was more of an amusing fumble forwards, trying not to drop any of her bags, but she caught up soon enough. "Well," Emily began, hoping to start some sort of conversation with her rarely seen relative, "How've things been with you, recently? Is everything ok in the big city life?"

Bruce watched the time tick by slowly. His eyes slowly shifted oer to the timetable for the Satelite train. 'Its going to be another damn hour til the trains come. I might as well kill some time' he thought grimly and rose from his seat. He bent down to pick up hi bag which was by the side of the seat and hooked it onto his left shoulder. He left the station down some stairs and into the light of the city. 'I came to this place to escape the looks and glares of that town' he thought sadly. 'But all I get here is shunned and ignored. Damn, I need a drink' he added.

Solez watched as the scenery rapidly kept switching outside of the window. Buildings, to smaller buildings, to huge metal behemoths...

Geez, ain't there anything OTHER than metal in this city?

Solez looked back into the train car, watching the faces of every other passenger. Everyone was so absorbed into their own business, they (thankfully) hadn't noticed that he'd dropped his bag and spilled a few of the contents.

As he gathered up the Duel Disk and cards back into the bag, he'd stopped for a second. A thought seemed to cross his mind, and he soon gathered up his deck and stuck it in his shirt pocket.

Wanna keep a close eye on these... The Duel Disk disappeared back into the bag, and the zipper sealed it back in.

Just remember the mission. Gotta find out how to get into that tourney... Like everyone else in Neo Domino City, Solez Yarin knew of the Sky Cup being held soon. And like everyone, also, he knew that the winnder of such a cup can get amazing money just by dueling. And that, was his goal.

Aunt Vero said Mom and Dad were getting by in Satellite... but I'm hoping they won't be forced to live in that place much longer. If I can get in this cup... Well, you never know, maybe if I just demonstrate my dueling skills, I could get a sponsor or two.

He thought of his parents in the satellite, and his Aunt Vero with whom they'd left Solez. When he was born, Aunt Vero took custody of the boy, so he wouldn't be forced to live in Satellite. Unfortunatel, the woman was rather poor herself, and barely made enough money to live in the poorest part of the city.

Solez had spent most of his childhood dueling the other neighborhood kids, collecting Duel Monsters cards and getting stronger. He even once had been taken on a trip to Satellite to visit his parents and got a taste of the dueling skills in Satellite. Those duelists were the toughest he'd ever seen, but he spent time learning from them.

Solez took pride in being able to say that after some intense training, he was as good as a Duelist from anywhere -- Satellite or Neo-Domino City.

Of course, I don't know about the richer parts of this wretched town...

The teenager smiled when he heard the announcement from the train, stating that they had reached their destination. He grabbed the small duffel bag and stepped off the train, onto the platform.

"Now, let's see if I can't find out more about this Sky Cup..."

A few minutes into his walk, he'd already found a poster advertising it. It didn't really elaborate on how to enter, so he simply decided to do one of two things.

"Either I just walk up and tell them to register me.... Or, I gotta make it known that I got the skills to enter this thing."

He quickly decided the latter would be more fun to do, and let a huge grin cross his face.

"I suppose if this doesn't work, I can just ask..." He turned his head in all directions, looking for something.

"Now, who do I gotta duel to get some recognition around here?"

Tom finished washing the blood of his hands and now looked for someone to duel. He had two reasons to duel before the tournament. Reason 1 was for followers, a gang, something like that and reason 2 was to crack a lot of duelists before the tournament, do a good match and a lot of weak duelists who watched you will realize they stand no change. Making people realize how weak they where was one of Tom's favorite things to do. He saw a guy looking at an advert poster for the Sky Cup, that guy looked perfect for tom's plan. "Hey, you Darkboy!"

Intimidating the Watchers was about the begin.

"Hey, you Darkboy!" Solez looked around for the source of the voice. Someone was making a commotion, alright...

"Yeah, you!" He'd locked his eyes onto another person, pointing straight at him. This guy looked hostile, and his face wasn't all that friendly. Deciding it'd be a good idea to simply ignore him, Solez quickly threw that idea out the window and responded.

"Me? What's up?"

"You want to participate in the Sky Cup don't you? I have seen you looking at the poster" said Tom a bit louder than normal. "You can see me as your Examinator, the easier I win of you, the faster you should run home!" Tom picked his deck and put it in his duel disk, "Oh and just so you know, I'm not the kind of guy to say no too!"

While Tom was saying this he saw all kinds of people starting to walk towards them, hoping to see a good duel. Looking at the people that had come, he saw already 10 people who after this duel would take the first train home and give up dueling. Perfect!

Solez let a big smile form on his face.

FOUND IT. I found my way in.

"Sure thing, chief. I'll make the first move!" He grabbed the Duel Disk out of his bag and strapped it on, then loaded his deck in. The six cards were drawn, and he looked down.

"I start by setting a monster and one face-down spell/trap. That ends my turn right there."

I WILL make it into that Sky Cup.

"Going defensive? I start by activating my "Mist Trade" so I remove my "Fish Hunter Heron" from my hand from play to draw 2 cards. Next I will summon my "Enraged Battle Ox" (1700/1000). Now my "Enraged Battle Ox", attack his cowering monster!

( at this point you can chain to negate the attack if you do not this happens: )

But before we see your monsters I will power my Ox up with a "Rush Recklessly" increase his ATK by 700 until the end of this turn (1700 > 2400).

(At this point your monster would flip)

Life points: 4000 (or 8000, depends with what we start)

Hand: 4 (or 5, if you negated attack)

Field: 1 (Enraged Battle Ox)

OOC: I added the Rush Recklessly part because if you didn't negate then you would have to post "monster destroyed". And of course if you want to chain you can to anything, not only attack, but if it doesn't change that my Ox got summoned it will attack anyway. And I DIDN'T END MY TURN!!!!!!!! I have played against to many people who would start their turn when I gave them space to chain, so now I mention it every time.

"Let's see... Jumper, Woman, and Mind Master makes exactly forty. As for the Synchros..."

As Demias was counting his cards and making sure all of them were there, some poor fellow, probably already late to a business meeting or some other appointment, ran smack into him, which was odd seeing as how Demias was sitting on a bench. Regardless, all of Demias' cards were scattered all over the ground. As he got down to pick them up, the man followed suit.

"I am terribly sorry," the man said as he picked up the cards. After a few seconds though, the man stopped dead. As Demias finished up picking up, he realized he was missing a card. Thought Ruler Archfiend. He found it in the man's hand, his face horror-stricken. As Demias took the card, gave a quick thank you, and turned to leave, he heard the man say something...odd.

"You should get rid of that card. Right now. They never do anything for free. They'll keep coming and coming until they exact their toll. remember that."

Demias heard the man get up and start running again, as if nothing ever happened. He took that as a cue to leave as well.

Kyojo had found some rowdy street punk who thought he was the best duelist ever. If there's one think Kyojo could not stand, it was a blowhard. So, he'd decided to duel him. And it was a massacre.

Kyojo: LP 2000

Opponent: LP 1000

Kyojo's hand: 2 cards

Opponent's hand: 0 cards

Kyojo's field: Twin-Headed Behemoth, Masked Dragon, Golem Dragon, Axe Dragonute, Debris Dragon

Opponent's field: Meteor Black Dragon

"Alright, hos," Kyojo said as he drew, his Texan accent clear as day. "Time I finished you off and got on with my life."

"The only one finished is you!" his opponent retorted.

"Really?" Kyojo raised an eyebrow behind his shades. "Well, I tune Debris Dragon to Twin-Headed Behemoth and Masked Dragon!" The tuner changed into 4 green rings that changed the other 2 into 6 white orbs, fusing into a beam of light.

"Hey... What the hell's this?"

"When the flames of Hell spill over into the domain of the living," Kyojo chanted at the sky, "Its emissaries rise up and create the pyres of Dogma! Synchro Summon! Incinerate, TRIDENT DRAGION!" The beam of light changed into a column of fire that spawned a massive 3-headed dragon with fan-like wings that roared loud enough to shatter glass.

"That... that creature..." the opponent shuttered as a whirlwind was created by the dragon.

"Is your destruction, you little rat (ATK: 3000)!"

"Really?" The opponent stuttered, trying to sound confident. "Your monster it weaker than mine."

"True, but it does have an effect that'll make your Meteor Dragon look like a pebble on the beach. By destroying my 2 dragons remaining, I allow my Dragon 2 extra attacks this turn!" The left and right heads of the giant dragon bit down on the other 2 beasts before it, roaring in victory as it crushed them.

"Attack all you want!" The opponent said with frustration. "I'm still stronger!"

"Not for long," Kyojo declared as he played a card. "I activate Dragon's Mirror! By removing from play the 5 dragons I've sent to my Graveyard this turn, I Fusion Summon Five-Headed Dragon!" Beside the other dragon rose a beige-scaled dragon with 5 different heads that also roared loudly (ATK: 5000)!"

"No way!"

"Way. I activate Gift of the Martyr! I sacrifice my Five-Headed Dragon to add its ATK to my Trident Dragion (ATK: 8000)!"

"It... it... it can't be..."

"Oh it be. Trident Dragion, Triple Attack! Lucifer's Firestorm!" All 3 heads of the dragon shot flames at the other duelist, consuming him and his dragon in blood-red flames. Letting his Duel Disc deactivate, he began walking away.

"The vermin that live in this city... Feeding on the bloody corpses of honest workers. Soon the drains will scab over and the rats will drown... but I don't have time to wait for that. I have work to do.

"Hey!" A gruff voice yelled at Kyojo as he rounded a corner. "Kyojo Ryukishi?"

"Who wants to know?" Kyojo asked, turning around to see his aggressor.

"I do..."

"Hmm...The clear mind cuts a swath through the veil...Become...no, that doesn't work..."

While on his way to the Sky Cup Registration Center, Demias was trying to come up with one of those Synchro Chants that were so popular with the high ranking duelists. Obviously it had to do with something involving the mind. seeing as that's what his cards were about.

"The powers of the manifest...no, no, no! That won't do at all!" This was more difficult than he had originally intended. Heck, maybe it'd just come to him during a duel...

"You!"

An odd man behind Demias pointed at him. He had a large stalk of black hair, black sunglasses, black trench coat, black, black, black everywhere.

"What do you want?" was Demias' reply to the man.

"Duel me! You seem worthy."

"Of what, exactly?"

"It matters not to me. But your worth will reveal itself in a Duel. Come with me."

"What? It's perfectly fine here."

The man started walking. "Do YOU want to be responsible for the property damage?"

"What? Property... Hey! Get back here!"

Demias dashed off after the mysterious man, as he had quite a lead on Demias.

OOC: No-one has yet, but before it gets that far, I'll say it now. I don't want anyone invited to The Seraphs or the Arcadia Movement, Twill's character was pre-planned to be important to the plot before the topic was even posted but other characters should remain unaffiliated until the Sky Cup.

Bruce kicked an old can from the foot path when he heard an irritating flapping sound. His had turned to find the irritating noise, locating it to a loose poster on the nearby wall. He marched over there and grabbed it, removing the sound. His eyes scanned it over quickly and his left eyebrow rose. 'I remember reading about this, a grand dueling tournament. But it's on during work time. And getting a job in the city is tough' he thought. His mind slowly went into gear and planned. 'But winning will grant me an even better one'] he reasoned. A deadly smirk crossed his face as he attempted to locate the location registration office on the sheet.

Twilla quit this because the RPing was too low quality. Quite frankly, I think she may have been justified, a large amount of people seem un-focused and such. With her gone, my current personal life and the RP in an otherwise quite lowly state, not getting off to a good start - this thing is pretty much cancelled.

Goodbye.
