Mixed-Level Normal Deck

I'm thinking about entering a tournament here at Peru just for fun, but I don't wanna waste my money and time by being defeated in the first round, so I want YOU to evaluate my deck XP.

 

Note: Do NOT recommend me any Synchro strategy/monsters. I repeat: NO SYNCHRO strategy/monsters recomendations, seriously. I have nothing against them, but the are too hard to find and I'm sure I can win without them.

 

Ok, here I go.

 

Mixed Vanilla Cream Deck (pun intended) (40 cards)

 

Normal Monsters (by Level, then ATK, then DEF) (16 Monsters)

Blue-Eyes White Dragon

Summoned Skull

Alien Shocktrooper (a gift from my big-bro XD)

Sabersaurus (same here -_-')

Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness x3

Sonic Duck (I'm trying to get 2 more)

Hunter Dragon (same here)

Dragon Zombie (replaced by Sonic Duck in the future)

Giant Soldier of Stone x3

Volcaninc Rat x2 (they were 3 but I took 1 out to put Dragon Zombie)

Important Note I just got a Sword of the Soul-Eater, but I don't know what to remove from my deck. Any advice?

 

Well that's about it. I've only played against my big-bro and my cousing so I'm not sure it is a useful deck. Most cards I use are from decks and some boosters so try not to recommed Hyper Mega Rare cards (except for Vampire Lord, which I got in my 1º Dark Crisis Booster XD). As I said before, do not recommend Synchro Monsters, maybe Tuners (I'll treat them as regular monsters) but no Synchros.

Dude, you're doing vanillas wrong. Don't waste your money.

 

Also, I laugh at the Magic Cylinder question. The answer has always been no, or nobody would complain about high card prices (MF would be cheap, Honest would be easy to find, etc.).

 

Also, there's such a thing as the internet to hunt down Synchros.

I'm trying to use what I got, all new cards I get are from random boosters (I like Ancient Sanctuary and tactical Evolution).

 

Yeah I know bout the Magic Cylinder thing in official tournaments but a friend of mine used her jap cards on a tournament a couple of months ago (though it was a school tournament).

Mmmmmmhhh .... it doesn't worth the pain.

Here a structure deck is like from 45 to 60 soles (the local currency) (3 sol = dollar rounded), so to make it simple I'm gonna say it's like paying 15$ for a card (the Blue Eyes) which sounds okay, but it actually IS for peruvian like paying 30-40$ for a card which is, well, a LOT. I mean I could buy tons (yeah I said tons) of lesser stuff with that money!

Unfortunately a million crappy monsters will never be a good one. The only way to do well at these things is to suck it down, and spend a few extra bucks. There are some cheap decks out there, if you ask around. Pick a theme, ask for tips, and go from there. Also, I am trying to figure something out. You say that 1 sol = 3 dollars, and a starter deck costs 40-60 soles. Unless my brain has shut down from lack of sleep (very likely), then according to my math, a starter deck costs 120 - 180 dollars.

If you want semi-decent normal monster support, buy the 08 Starter Deck. But vanillas are a waste of time, unless its a BeWD beat-down deck.

Unless you're going for a pure Vanilla deck, it might be a good idea to invest in and Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord. I mean, with a Vanilla deck, you could powerhouse with Exodius!

Anyway I think I have more cards for low Level Vanillas, if you didnt notice in my deck, so I'm trying to stick to them.

Low Level Vanillas aint bad at all! Once I beat a Raviel Lord of Phantasms with my Volcanic rat equiped with 2 Amulets of Ambition and won the duel! Each Amulet increases my ATK by the difference between levels x500. So 9 Levels x 500 x 2(number of amulets)= +9000 ATK! + 1 Rush Reckessly to finish him off. TOTAL OWNAGE.
