JG.
What's the newest pack? If it's before ANPR I'm not playing.
Koshej
No idea - it's the 2007 year version (discontinued...) so you should find it out yourself. Also - nobody's forcing you to play.I just say that I really like this game and suggest people to try it out.Generally, official ROM games are better - but here you can use your mouse instead of endless <=> clicking. That's what I like this game the most for.And it's not 1GB+ size like YGO Online (correct name now) too. It's your choice anyways. :D
Exyst
2007 was before 5D's, I believe... No.
Koshej
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh!_5D'sIt's 2008.So what???I still like this game.Repeating myself: nobody is forcing anybody to play. It's not for hardcore "real TCG" players - it's more just for a lot of YGO fun. Manjoume Thunder
Well at least explain the gameplay, tell us what packs are there and give some screenshots.
Koshej
Posted some screenshots.Don't look at the char pics - they're ALL replaceable!Just go to CHAR_PIC and replace with whatever you want of similar dimensions. GAMEPLAY:There are few Edo-original unlockable storylines as well as lots of characters starting with Yugi (obviously) and at least up to GX.I'm not sure since I didn't play the last version thoroughly and a lot might have been added... :DThere are also some Edo-made characters too - since all those storylines are totally Edo-made.The game is what YGO is always - you duel, get experience and points (money), unlock new levels and characters, buy and get new cards - you DUEL! DECKS:No idea but there are 2096 cards programmed and some 1400+ have pictures. For full info just check the History file which has all added and corrected cards. Some cards weren't programmed or not fully - still this leaves you with good 1500+++ playable cards to choose from!!!The game's HUGE!There are also some (few dozens or something) Edo-made cards. To be short - the game graphic sucks but the game play ROCKS!!! :DI really recommend you to try it - I'm pretty sure you'll like it in the end. :D

Exyst
What reason would I have to play this over YVD??
Koshej
1. SIZE.It's only 20MB+ not 1GB+. I'm talking about YGO Online now...(That's for people like me with slow internet and no patience.)2. It's original. There are some functions that aren't in YVD (I didn't really play it because of 1. but I'm sure about it). It's you against the AI - no need to wait, no stress, pure training fun.(Joking a bit - this game is just for more relaxing gameplay than any real-opponent game would be.)3. Nicer interface - maybe less toolful, but, YES, nicer. I also recommend KCVDS (Kaiba Corporation Virtual Duel System) as a mixture of both small size and nice gameplay. But KCVDS has some connection problems - I had to use Hamachi to connect to the game server - and it drove me nuts. You can try it though - if you won't have connection problems then it's a very nice game to play. :D
Eury
Does this game require any programs to download? I tried downloading it and it wouldn't let me...
OmegaWave
YVD is only about 14MB. Get your facts straight. This game sucks. Period.
Koshej
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS!!!Confused with Yu-Gi-Oh Online...That one is huge.I'll try YVD now - I might even like it. :DInterface is still beter here. :D

Koshej
As I said - I confused it with YGO Online...It happens you know...This one is a nice offline game to play. You don't like it - you don't play it.You don't try it - you don't know whether you like it. :D
-Berserker-
Isn't this suppossed to be in the Videogames section? Are the cards editable? Can we add our own cards?
Koshej
It's not a Video game - it's a PC game so I wasn't sure. You can replace all pictures but you can't add or reprogram anything - unless you are a good programmer which I ain't.It's way enough cards to just play through. You only need patience to unlock LVL 4 which gives you the ability to "cheat" aka use the game passwords to get specific cards. Also if you beat Yugi, Kaiba, Marik and some other guys for a specific number of duels they'll give you something REALLY handy. :DTo be short - the game has some RPG element to it and that's what really makes me like it.It's not just plain duels forever - you actually progress in time.MWAHAHAHA!!!!!Just installed YVD.The SAME junk as with KCVDS - it suggests using Hamachi in order to be able to connect. If I'll ever go back to using Hamachi - then I prefer to play KCVDS since it's WAY nicer interface.HAHAHA!"Super game" - yeah, RRRRIIIGHT!!! Koshej
I spent entire HOUR on making a detailed screenshot guide for this game! :D(See post #1.) ObsidianIt's because of my internet connection specifics - won't help.(I tried all options...)Hamachi does help but drives me nuts by being "busy" all the time.So I'll manage without it... :DJudging by the History file the last SET is "Crossroads of Chaos" or at least some cards from there. These are some of the last added cards:Neo Spacian, Aqua DolphinNeo Spacian, Black PantherCocoon DolphinaStargazing Bird, Rarisu....................................................Hero's BondEarth's GravityMosaic ManticoreThe Devil's AvatarBotanical LioGravity Behemoth
OmegaWave
You have an older version. YVD has all current cards for TCG and OCG up to Ancient Prophecy for TCG, and Stardust Overdrive for OCG. It also has the ability to code in your own Cards and Tokens into the set files. Go to http://xerocreative.com to download the most recent version and all of the card images.
Koshej
ObsidianI actually meant Edo's game...Look at post #2 by ~JG~ and you'll see what I was answering to. :DI downloaded the latest YVD - but it does require Hamachi and I already have negative experience with it from KCVDS...I'm even wondering why all those connection problems happen to begin with - I don't have any problems playing MMORPGs...
