Jesus
Most players on this site know what a Team is. As we all know, there are Teams in the Yu-Gi-Oh! community, who help each other with TCG questions, deckhelp, and mostly just being friendly. But there are some bastards who decide to flame and troll you within your own team who think they're better than everybody else. [spoiler=Situation (You don't have to read this)]Let's say you're the admin of your own team. Due to the fact that you had an arguement over yugioh over something stupid, like a Deck Choice for example, you kept arguing your point using logic, and the only thing this person can come up with 'u suck go kill urself lolololol nub'. Moments later, 4 other members log on, and they all decide to go make their own team. And then you lose a few friends. What do you do? I mean it's their choice, if they want to be immature, then let them be. This situation recently happened to me. There's thousands of bastards on the planet, but how many of them are on YOUR own team, and how do you deal with them? Do you deal with them like any classic flamer or troll, or do you have a certain way? I mean you can't just ban them away, they kinda are in YOUR team. Ignoring them might be a good way, but that doesn't push along your team's progress very well. Discuss.

We really fdon't meet anywhere, as they each live in different states than me. Here's my team's link http://www.youtube.com/TeamBlackArmor I would be on an IRL team, but most of the people at my lolocals are total a******s. I had almost the same thing but my situation was 1 of my teammates got extremely greedy and kept all the cards I need (also another one of my teammates who needed 1) to himself. This continued for a couple of weeks until I got a Card he needed. He told me to give it to him but I played his little game and kept it to myself. When he asked why, I explained why I refused to give it to him due to his greediness, he stop being self-centered. Sometimes, its good to wake a teammate up by doing EXACTLY what he/she did. That'll make me as low as he is, and plus, I don't really wish to push the problem deeper.
Toffee.
Teams are terri-bad on Wc09.Well, on Wi-Fi if you chose "Duel with anyone" mode. This is why I run a kill-your-own-self deck on Wi-Fi.Since my team mate is almost ALWASY some idiot with an 80 card E-Hero/Dark Magician deck. It makes the game alot faster, and really funny

Aximil
I'm the leader of my IRL team. There's about 10 of us. My house is the storage for everyone's cards. We just share all cards that aren't in use in someone elses decks. No trading between us, other than "Oh, I want that card in my deck, how about I give you this out of mine?" and stuffs like that. It's basically 1 giant cardpool with a minimum of OVER 9000!!! cards in it. But yeah. Some team mates do get greedy and hog everything to themselves. One of the members took a stack of a couple hundred cards home and wouldn't share them. So I told him he wasn't allowed access to his decks that are here or any other cards from the cardpool until he brought those cards back. Long story short: If you're the leader, be dominant. If they do something wrong, do what it takes to fix them. Even if it's unfair.
Darkest Hour
Heh' date=' kill-your-own-self deck... I like it XD[/quote'] So it's almost like a "Free Win Deck". Unfortunate Report, Fee, United We Stand, Gift of Greed, Gift Card, Running monsters you cannot summon. A dude at the tournaments was bribing n00bs with shiny e-hero cards to play in the tournaments with crappy "free win" decks so he could branch off of them and hopefully win the tournament. He ran a Fusion/Lockdown deck that ran Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon and Last Warrior from another planet. I sided in Non-Fusion Area and he Raeg'd in his pants. True, they did flame a lot, even to me at times, but that doesn't mean that they are not your friends. I would say just to give things time to sink in. TorrentialHappiness
This is why I keep my team small and tightly knit. Jesus's team was roughly five or six people if I'm right. That really isn't much, but they are all great duelists. I went up against them all at one point or another. Lost to them all consistantly with my old deck (Six Samurai). I have a better chance of winning with this new deck that I give credit to Jesus for helping me build. Now, I'm on my own. I'm a rogue duelist and let's just leave it at that. (to Jesus)You don't know the whole story. They didn't just decide to up and leave, though. They had this planned for a while. They never wanted to lose a friend. Their saying goodbye was to the old team that you guys formed together, and form one around topdecks. There was no immaturity in it. They didn't tell you ahead of time because something like what happened already would have happened anyway, but earlier. You can PM me, Jesus, and ask me why I left the other forum, if you want. shadowferret
Teams?I suppose you could call my little group of Duelists a team. We all went to the same High School, and we all pretty much follow the rule of "Use something original to try and win". May seem stupid, but hey, we've actually gotten a lot of teammates -- and friends -- that way. I'm sorry that your teammates up and left like that, but hey... if they're really friends, maybe it would've turned out different.

TorrentialHappiness
A team should be ran like a business' date=' that means Profits first, friendship latter.[/quote'] I'm sorry, Nate. That is very wrong. Friendship always comes first. It's not always about the money you make or the best cards you obtain. This game was originally about having fun with your friends, and making more friends. Now it's just a big rut. Nothing against those who play the game ( I play it too) you'd need something to break the rut.

Nothing against those who play the game ( I play it too) you'd need something to break the rut. Your playing for a team. What is the point of a team when everybody still lacks card pool? The idea is to support each other, but in order to do that you must remove the elements that can cause a problem. Another benefit for teams is to manipulate the standings. A 16 player team can all get invites at Last chance qualifiers. That means each member will spend $160 and the team will acquire 32 play mats, 768 packs (that's 32 boxes), and 16 Event specials (2009 were token packs.) The team will then Accumulating about $1320 + Packs in profits ($35 a mat x 32) + ($10 to $15 average 12.5 x 16 event specials).
Jesus
Nate is 100% correct. You should treat your job like your a vendor or something along those lines, and that it's your job. How many times have you seen in a movie about work or something stupid that's irrelevent to this topic somebody say "This company is like a clock. If all of the cogs [workers] in the clock isn't working, the clock stops. That logic implies that in a Team, if one of the players isn't doing what they are supposed to do, then essentially the team dies. Which is what happened. (to Jesus)You don't know the whole story. They didn't just decide to up and leave' date=' though. They had this planned for a while. They never wanted to lose a friend. They didn't tell you ahead of time because something like what happened already would have happened anyway, but earlier. You can PM me, Jesus, and ask me why I left the other forum, if you want.[/quote'] They did it an immature manner, Benjamin. Creating a topic on the forums and then each of them posting a picture of their 'new team banner' and saying one word responses like "Goodbye." is quite immature. Plus, you don't know what Josh called me and told me to do moments after they posted it. Also if they would've told me earlier I would've planned for it and either regrouped and recruited or joined another team instead of wasting my time on something that was irrelevent to begin with.
