I'm in Junior High too, taking Algebra, And, After Algebra is Geometry, which I believe is still involuntary, and then probably after Geometry it could be voluntary, not sure though.

Most jobs have something to do with maths. Stick wid' it.

Not saying should drop math completely' date=' just...after a certain point, math doesn't become all that useful in a lot of fields.

What do you mean? [/curious]

I mean, will I really need calculus to be a graphic designer? After algebra, I think it should be optional.

After algebra' date=' I think math should be voluntary. I don't think I'll be needing calculus in my career.

Algebra II is a good stopping point. After that, you will almost never use the rest of the math you learn in your life.

Math can either be easy or hard. Lucky for me, it's easy. Math is definatley important, as we wouldn't have so many things without math, but crap like Calculus and Statistics is a bit overboard.

I hated Math with a passion, and still do.

5y + 17b = ?

Will never, ever, EVER, be in your daily life, not even in a stock brokers life. It's just plain ridiculous.

The basics of math, I can accept and be willing to learn. But most of the other Math basis, is just like.. come on now, all I want to do is buy a Hamburger and a coke. I don't need AY over ZX to do that.

Math is very useful for some people, and useless for the others. I mean that, excepting the fact that numbers exist and some physic formulas, math has nothing to do with the real world and I hate it. Where I live, math is compulsory from the 5th to the 10th, and that's quite a long time. 3 more years of torture for me...
