Battle Fader

DARK/Demon Effect/1/0/0

Activate when an opposing monster declares a direct attack. Special Summon this card from your hand, and end the Battle Phase. This card Special Summoned by this effect is removed from play when it is removed from the field.

save for the Direct Attack part, this thing is basically TR that you don't set, and can activate in your hand, catching the opponent off-guard. I like it.

-Allure-able

-Synchro food?

-Ending Battle Phase

-No Restrictions

Discuss.

Eaven though I predict it will be limited (or semi-lim) in short time.

It can be negated with Solemn Judgement' date=' since it has to be summoned ("hit the field") to end battle phase.

Synchro food usualy only for low level Synchros.

Solemn is not a valid arguement, Solemn pretty much stops everything. plus it's not as good Limited.

I disagree on it bieng limited. there are lots of battle stoppers that aren't limited. one of which has ridiculous draw power backing it up (Cyber Valley) This will be good, but not THAT good. or heck TR, since it's chainable.

Yeah, but with Solemn only limited to 1, not many people are gonna have that in store to face off against this card. Solemn is pretty bad with the limit on it. This card has potential. You also have to wait for a direct attack; but I still like it. I see it being Semi-Limited. No need to restrict it to one unless it gets more support. And this card would work great for getting out Armory Arm if that is what your running. I like it.

EDIT:

Well, I just noticed someone bringing up the same argument right after I posted, but they beat me too it. T.T

Oh well. That only proves our argument more strongly.

Well then it's a good thing that Saviour Dragons suck :)

I mention in the OP about it having to be a direct attack, so it not bieng completly like TR. Read the WHOLE post dude.

Gorz is Limited. Trag is great, but can't end the battle phase. there's no reason why this card should be limited in anyway. it's stall, but I like it alot.

The difference is that, with Gorz and Tragoedia, you take the damage, while this card prevents that from happening in the first place. And yes, that matters a lot. Gorz and Tragoedia fail against GBs, Kalut, Honest, Shrink, etc. and can be a useless topdeck if you're losing in the late-game. This card completely protects your life points.

Alright, so I've compared Battle Fader with Gorz and Tragoedia, but let's talk about how they can work together. I can see a lot of synergy between them as well. I think Battle Fader was the needed addition to open up a door of possibilities. With 7 cards with such a card effect in the card pool, we have enough to run a completely new variant of Monarchs, that set up their tribute fodder during the opponent's turn, while also stunning them. It doesn't have to rely on only this, but it sure is a save way to still make progress.

And besides this, I think 7 cards is enough to make 'bluffing a Gorz/Tragoedia' consistent in that you can still be save if you don't actually have Gorz/Tragoedia, because you'll be likely to have Battle Fader instead. This can be a very good strategy in these new Monarch decks.

So far, this is the most interesting card I've seen in Absolute Powerforce.

Konami needs to make quick-effect(by this' date=' I mean usable from the hand and during the Opponent's turn) Spells and Traps.

Just to F- with the Opponent.

Plus, it would be pretty lulz

[/quote']

Super broken.

I made an entire archetype based on it, it's called Red Aura. All their support is quickplay and their effects can activate from the hand during either player's turn.
