The thing is Lucemon couldn't be Lucifer because Lucifer wanted to become the most powerful thing in the world.

Which he was till Susanoomon showed up.

He wasn't fallen from grace he was overthrown and replaced with the Celestials.

So while he is supposed to be Lucifer he can't be.

But fine, Lucemon is now the Devil.

I always knew he wasn't a reference to Jesus, just like Susanoomon isn't a metaphor.

Well, like I said, I think he also represents Humanity.

He started out pure, and benevolent, with good before him.

Slowly he corrupted, and became a being of chaos.

Then the chaos came out in physical form.

He stayed powerful and chaotic, but kept going towards darkness.

In the end, he became a being of evil.

Bent on destruction and power, nothing more.

Humans.

Except it's not.

Why would japan make biblical references and political saitire in kid shows?

What next, the Burger King is actualy the symbol of mans unnatural fear against the strange looking?

Mickey is the symbol of human innocence and abbility to perserve despite the most dastarbly foes and tragic events?

My panties are a symbol of Americas enlightment?

That last one will keep you up at night.

I hope to God you're being sarcastic Nex. -.- Because if you're not, I'm starting to doubt your intelligence.

Anyway, regarding your other post, I dunno what kind of Biblical mythology you've read, but if you do not see how Lucemon is a reference to Lucifer, then you're not doing it right. And a little point - just because something references a person, place, or thing, does not mean it has to be exactly the same.

So just because the things that occurred over Lucemon aren't exactly the same as the things that occurred over Lucifer does not automatically mean he cannot be a reference to Lucifer. Stop being so thick-headed.

Well, if the first question isn't sarcastic, then you still have much to learn about Japan.

For starters, hardly anything really qualifies as a kid show. Even Pokemon had its ritzy themes here and there. It's Japan. Religious referencing is what they do, and this is largely because the majority of Japanese people don't believe in conventional religions, and thus no one gets upset or offended by it over there.

And if there's no soccar moms jabroniing about obscenity or mature themes in kid shows, then there's no reason to stop including them.

Okay then.

But the political saitire?

Why bother likening the devil with mankind.

Especially if no evil humans show up in that game?

It doesn't work.

I figured the biblical reference obviously counts.

Otherwise Lucemon wouldn't exist.

But it's not likening mankind to Satan.

And no, I am not aware of japanese culture.

Im a 16 year old who spends as much time as I can away from human contact.

I haven't seen Digimon in so long so I forgot what the different ones were.

So I shall double up on Voyeur's vote.

Also quick question, about the KH rp. When is that gonna start and why am I not part of the Organization?

And sorry for not posting in a few days, I am grounded and it's hard to post when parents are home.
