It's more fun to figure out everything yourself.

Also, who the hell said the PS3 control looks like a boomerang? That was the original design for it, like, 4 years ago. =/ Where the hell have you been? It looks like a PS2 control.

 

And yes, i like getting guides too. I almost never use them (I may visit it occasionally when I'm stuck, but that rarely ever happens). Plus, the guide works great for post-game stuff, like finding some of the hidden crap that'd take forever and day to look for normally.

 

And in the case of FFXII:RR, I used the guide to figure out the math involved with weapon customization, so that I could create optimal weapons.
