So...here in the bay area in California, it was absolutely POURING. Today at school, I was in 1st period, when suddenly, the FIRE ALARM goes off. So we had to stand in the freezing rain for 20 minutes, while they secured the school. It turns out that the rain got into the air ducts and managed to set the alarm off. >.>

Anyways...has anything like this happened to you?

At our school, routine fire drills are common; however, they're not common in the warm months. For reasons I've yet to grasp, my school decides to have fire drills in twenty degree weather. To make things worse, they do not permit us to go to our lockers to get a jacket. We're forced to stand outside in twenty degree weather for anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Ridiculous.

I'm all for missing class, but when outside temperatures are below the freezing point I'd rather be inside. ;\

We always have this test-alarms..

They rule..

in my school we have a ritual for them...

We were adviced to keep it slowly and to not get mad..or sth.

Me and my friends were like " so..why the..should we wait?"

And we took our cigarettes inside of school...and the teachers just looked weird..and ..well we could say "..it's burning!..1 cigarette more or less..makes no difference?"..^^

Sucks to be you. When ever my school does fire drills it's almost always warm, well at least not freezing, and it's normally a fair day. Even if it wasn't we are only out side for like 3 min.

I suggest not moving to anywhere more north of where you are' date=' if you dislike the rain.

I live in NY and the weather here has been crappy. In fact it's going to rain for most of the weekend.

Eeeh... Weather is weather. I don't care.

But the sound the fire alarm makes, I do. Like the one at Pearl City High School...

That fire alarm sounds like it could kill small children.
