When you use the conditional modifier "all", in order for the example to be true, everything that is modified by "all" must follow the statement. If that Alien lies, then it proves he lies. Even if one alien tells the truth, His statement is a lie. If one alien tells a lie, that does not make every alien a liar. If All Aliens are liars, then that statement is true.
