~Wright~
It beat Blackwings, Morphtronics, and almost Lightsworns. Tempest Dahlia
I'm just as surprised you won too, no offense. This deck isn't so much random more than it is inconsistant. Alot of the cards in here are severely outclassed formats ago.

Alot of the cards in here are severely outclassed formats ago.[/quote'] No offense taken. :)I probably should scrap this some point, and form a new deck entirely. This is the only deck I have, so lately I've been trying to build on it, rather than forming a new deck. Do you have any ideas of how I could build on this to create a new deck? I was thinking skill drain, as I already have a small start in making a skill drain deck. That, or I could boost this deck by making a green baboon theme, and getting some more beasts. How do you suggest I build on this?
Frozen Judgment
I think it's mainly cause meta decks do better while dueling other meta decks as opposed to a casual deck like this.

~Wright~
Changed the layout. I'm thinking of scrapping this and using it as the base to start a skill drain build. How do you suggest I go about this?
Crimson General
People at your locals must suck REALLLY bad. no offense, but this deck is so messy the best of the best shouldn't statistically be able to beat any one who is really good unless they were retarded. needs focus, you seem to have skill so as soon as you focus this I see alot of potential. Darkest Hour
I think it's mainly cause meta decks do better while dueling other meta decks as opposed to a casual deck like this. True. The Valleycon Tournament in Fargo ND consisted of top of the line Blackwings and Lightsworn' date=' and oddly enough, Hopeless Dragon won. All because of Koa'ki Meiru Drago and [b']BURST BREATH.[/b]

I didn't say casual decks are BETTER than meta decks did I? No, I meant meta decks focus a lot on card effects and S/T cards and run cards to defend against those card effects. Those cards are useless against casual decks like beatdown since they focus on ATK mainly. Therefore cards like JD are hardly needed since you can just lightning vortex them (because casual decks don't run much of the dangerous S/T). Toffee. You make the best possible Lightsworn deck you can, and the coms just topdeck and own you by the end of turn #3. and heck, this would even be freakin' Winged Kuriboh. cerberus21
Meta Decks build their strategy around the topic of the deck, and then put in cards to defend themselves against popular strategy. Your deck didn't use any of the popular themes, so no one's deck had a solid, planned defense against it.

~Wright~
err... yes, but nobody has answered my question. Hydra of Ages
If you're going for drain? Easy. Get a hold of copies of Fusilier and Barbaros.
~Wright~
Thanks! :) That, and of course, skill drain itself. :) How much do you think that would cost? I'm assuming you can't find any of those cards as commons.
lord dmoc
How could this win. If you were at my tournament you would get schooled because we show no mercy! And you're going to lose to Lightsworn I should know I win at my tournament with it. Holy crap I pulled a Judgment Dragon today!
Hydra of Ages
Both are pretty cheap. I get discounts since a friend of mine owns a hobby shop where I get my cards, so I'm not too sharp on the prices though. going by E-Bay, Fusilier seems to run from 1$-10$, so you should be able to get three without much trouble. by the same stats, Barbaros seems to run from 5$-15$, so he shouldn't be much of a problem either. Skill drain is about 2$-7$. D'ya need help making a recipe for a good Skill Drain deck, or do you think you're good at that end?

Hydra of Ages
Whichever you can find is cheapest. E-Bay can get you some dirt-cheap cards, but it can also screw you over like nothing you've ever seen. I'd check out your hobby/card shops first, then order from E-bay if the shops don't have anything cheap enough. I'll get working on that recipe. I played a Skill Drain Deck a while ago, though I haven't done it recently...

And you're going to lose to Lightsworn I should know I win at my tournament with it. Holy crap I pulled a Judgment Dragon today! I know what you mean! I'm just as shocked as you are! I think I faced Blackwings' date=' morphs, skill drain, and some other deck. Lightsworn was a different tournament. The only way this deck seems to win is to use nimbles, rats, and gigantes to gain speed. Simultaneously, you use big monsters like Goblin Attack force to put pressure on your opponent, and quickly kill enemy monsters with monster destruction cards. This deck is "crafted" to kill opponent's before their decks gain any speed. I've never even [i']placed[/i] in a tournament before, so I think I just got really lucky. :p
