Lil Jevans
When I use Wikipedia I usually search some other sites to compare information.Wikipedia hasn't failed me just yet but I don't trust it.
~/Coolio Prime\~
It used to be horrible, but as of now it's pretty reliable.
Lil Jevans
Yes but sometimes it can be based on biased facts. One side of the story, which is why I look at different sites.
Lemniscate
There was a report I read, comparing the average percent error of Wikipedia against that of a regular encyclopedia, and they are about equal. From what I've seen, just check the sources they cite, and that should tell you how reliable it is. If you are still unsure, check the discussion page, usually, based on what you there you can make a determination.I usually trust it.

Dark
I trust it, but usually I have a second source of information to make sure Wiki isn't lying to me. TBQH, I've been using Wiki for 5+ years now, and it only gave me one instance of wrong information, and that very minor. I TRUST NOBODY If you stare at that smiley for 30 minutes, instead of having a normal animation, it'll turn into the picture of the girl from the exorcist. Seriously. Trust me. c wut i did thar? Andx
Apparently there was some study comparing Wikipedia to Encyclopedia Britannica and it found that for every 2 of Britannica's errors Wikipedia had 3. That's pretty close. I'll trust it but as teachers won't ever accept it as a source I can't use it for school.
fenrir
So when I need to do research' date=' yeah. It's more reliable than trust worthy though.[/quote'] This is basically my opinion. I trust Wikipedia more than I trust my teachers. Don't we all?

Cin
Part of me was worried my exam board wouldn't trust Wiki as a source in Coursework so I ended up putting /, for the part they referenced with.
Dark
High school is epic. I can use Wikipedia as a source, but when I go to cite my sources, I just Google random websites about my topic and completley bullshit the bibliography. College is different, ain't it? Muluck
I trust wikipedia as much as I trust my teachers. Very little if at all. Which is why I spend most of my time in the library, reading books I really don't even need to be reading. But I always have to reassure myself. It's a weakness..
