Bairuken

GhostArmyCard.jpg

This card can only be be activated while you control no monsters and the total Direct Damage inflicted to your Life Points would exceed the total Life Points you have. Destroy all cards your opponent controls and inflict 400 damage to your opponent's Life Points for each card destroyed by this card's effect.

Archelaus

While this card is face-up on the field, it cannot be destroyed except by the effect of an Effect monster. You and your opponent cannot activate Field Spell Cards. During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated, draw 1 card. During your 2nd End Phase after this card was activated, destroy all monsters on the field. During your 4th End Phase after this card was activated, both players Life Points become 8000. During your 6th End Phase after this card was activated, both players must draw cards until they both have 8 cards in their hand. During your 8th End Phase after this card was activated, lower the Level of all the monsters in both players hand by 4 for the rest of the Duel. During your 10th End Phase after this card was activated, you win the Duel.

My Opinion (This is my vote):

Picture and Overall Appeal: I like Bairuken's better, but Archelaus is nice too. But for the Gold Rare, I'll tie this category.

Effect: Archelaus' effect is very long and drawn out, but it is overpowered, but considering Breaker in meta, also other random things like Swarm of Locusts, it is not THAT overpowered as one things. It is rather creative, but it can turn the game around too easily, even if you DO destroy it.

Bairuken's card is much the same, it can very easily turn a duel around. Much less overpowered, but as thought out.

I give slight plus to Bairuken's card here.

Creativity: Archelaus' effect is interesting, but not neccessarily creative. Neither is Bairuken's, so I'll tie here too.

So my vote goes to Bairuken.

Card A is very adaptable, has no OCG errors despite the original effect, but is a bit too overpowered. Of course, the image fits the name and text, but it could get easily broken.

Card 2 has a fairly worse image, same quality OCG but has a lasting game-changing effect. As i am a fan of boss cards myself, my vote goes to Archelaus, no matter what Arc says.

Off topic: You are an idiot.

On topic: Both cards are a bit overpowered, but card B is more. The pic. in card A is better than card B, but card B has a more creative effect. However, I like card A better because of the great image that matches its title. My vote goes to card A.

Bairuken: 5

Archelaus: 3

Well done.

(I received the votes from the regular judges via PM)

As promised, since Bairuken lost already, he gets 60% of the 14 000 point fund, and Archelaus receives the remaining 40%.

4 REPS to Bairuken and 3 REPS to Archelaus.

Thanks for a great conclusion to a great and epic tournament!

You've won 1st and 2nd respectively over Zeaux, Father Wolf, Lovely Lady, Deustodo, and other great card makers!

I will end it wih one of those little things:

In dying moments we pass the torch,

In dying moments we repent.

What is it to, live again?

To live again, to die again?
