Kiyo
Electric ones sound like they're gonna saw my hand off...Manual ones allow more precision, even if it does make your hand sore after sharpening over and over again.

General Assclown
Loltopic Anyway, never used an electric one before but they look scary. It's like a black hole filled with billions and billions of electronic knifes, chopping off tiny particles of wood until it reaches your hand and blood splatters all over your room, your scream out in agony as you prepare to take out your hand then you realize, it's stuck and .... well, yeah, there's my useless opinion/fail joke. Blamonchesix
I never tried an electric sharpener but I have no squabbles on the manual sharpener. But if you always want a sharp tip, I suggest getting a mechanical pencil.

AWESOME! Also, change thread name to "Sharpeners vs Electric Sharpeners" or something. It's not actually a discussion on pencils.

Infinitus
uhhhh... Pens FTW? Obvious answer is obvious.Best answer is best. Pens require no sharpening, never make that weird sound when you use them, never break while writing, never break RIGHT AFTER SHARPENING, etc.
