Remix Series (41/?) Edited 12/21

One of my personal pet peeves as a player of Yugioh for almost as long as it's been around was that some Archetypes that seemed so cool are just unplayable. Konami has attempted to fix that problem at times, but generally it hasn't helped much. A classic example of this is the Amazoness Archetype. They've one of the most powerful generic Special Summon cards in the game (Dramatic Rescue) and yet you see NOONE using them. That's kind of what my REDO series is all about. The REDO series is not creating new cards, but an attempt to make older strategies competitive in the current playing environment.

Obviously, the artwork belongs to the makers of Yugioh, and some of the cards were virtually untouched.

Could (some of) these cards be meta?

Harpie Ladies - Now you can use multiple Harpie Ladies, the support cards are better, Harpie Girl is a Tuner, and Harpie's Pet Dragon is a Synchro Monster.

Harpie Lady Sisters:

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Elegant Egotist". This card gains 100 ATK for every "Harpie Lady" monster in your Graveyard. When this monster is targeted by your opponent's Spell or Trap Card effect, you may send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 2 "Harpie Lady" monsters from your Graveyard in Attack Position. You may use this effect during either player's turn.

Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon:

This card accumulates effects according to the number of monsters you control that include "Harpie Lady" in their card name or are named "Harpie Girl". At least 1: While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select monsters on your side of the field as attack targets if they include "Harpie Lady" in their card name or are named "Harpie Girl". At least 2: Double the original ATK and DEF of this card. At least 3: Once per turn, you can destroy 1 card on your opponent's side of the field.

Harpie's Pet Dragon:

1 "Harpie Girl" + 1 or more non-Tuner WIND monsters.

Increase this card's ATK and DEF by 300 points for each "Harpie Lady" card you control. If you control another WIND monster, once per turn you may remove from play 1 card on the field. If you use this effect, this card cannot declare an attack this turn. If "Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon" was used to Synchro Summon this card, this card gains the following effect:

- While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select monsters on your side of the field as attack targets if they include "Harpie Lady" in their card name or are named "Harpie Girl".

Moths - Well, these might not be Meta, but at least they are playable. You can put the upgraded Moths in your Extra Deck instead of your Main Deck, and all of the cards have (substantially more) useful effects.

Ninjas - They now have 2 Tuners and a Synchro. Should be pretty fast, and should also support Dark Simorgh pretty well. Plus, the equip card ought to be playable, I would think, possibly even abusable.

Dark Scorpions - The effects are much better, the support cards are much better, the stats are a bunch better, and they now have a boss card.

Dark Scorpion Burglars

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by having 5 "Dark Scorpion" monsters with different names in your Graveyard. You can only control 1 "Dark Scorpion Burglars" at a time. This card gains 400 ATK for each "Dark Scorpion" monster in your Graveyard. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can select and activate 1 of the following effects:

- Send all Spell Cards in your opponent's hand and on your opponent's side of the field to the Graveyard.

- Your opponent selects and sends 5 Spell Cards from their Deck to the Graveyard.

I think ya did a real good job here. But I do have to question your Harpie's Hunting Ground, since you made the effect optional, where the original was mandatory. This is bad because your set allows up to 21 eligible harpies in your deck. The original version only lets you have 9. (3x Lady, Queen, Sisters) What do ya think? Edit: Harpies Hunting has been changed, this post is no longer valid.

P.S. I never noticed back in the day, but is Feather Duster destroying a monster card? Or is that a very strangely drawn "House of Adhesive Tape" Trap Card that has 4 Level Stars? Weird either way.

The remix of these cards are pretty good, however I need to question Hunting Ground like the above user.

With Cyber Harpie, you should've kept the original effect because now you can run more than 3 Harpie Ladies in your Deck.

Nice that you made Harpie's Pet Dragon a Synchro. In my opinion ,it should be like that.

Overall, 9/10 (good set for a new member)

That was part of the point.

I intentionally changed it so you could run lots more Harpies. My objective was to redo them to make them competitive in the tournament scene.

Yea, the Field Card might be a bit OP. I'm kind of torn on that one.

Thanks for the feedback!

EDIT: Just occurred to me; what do you think of changing it back to the original wording, but adding that it could not destroy itself with it's own effect (that's what I was really going for with the card). It is unbalanced if you can just own your opponent's back row like that without repercussion.

Sounds good, needs some OCG fixin tho. I would write it like this.

When a "Harpy Lady" monster is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field other than "Harpies' Hunting Ground."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or you could ignore the fact that it excludes Flip Summons by using....

When a "Harpy Lady" monster is Summoned, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field other than "Harpies' Hunting Ground."

Ok, the Ninjas are up now. Also, tweaked the formatting a bit, should be a bit easier to navigate (curse my lack of html skills). Anyway, I think these new Ninjas would be pretty tough to beat, plus they combo even better with Dark Simorgh. What should I do next? I was leaning to Dark Scorpions, but I'm open to other ideas.
