~Shore
@LemniscateOf course it would make them worse. That's why it could be a good idea. Basically, everything on this forum is made worse by the fact that the administrator is horribly inactive. If he were the only one left, hopefully he would have to do something. However, there's an extremely high probability he would do very little to nothing. Guest Chaos Pudding
I feel like I have the easiest job on this forum. I have very clear cut rules in my sections, which make modding the section a breeze. I just click all of the marked reports, look at the first post, then lock the thread (sometimes with a witty comment if I'm feeling it that day). I can get through like 10 reports (the most I've seen at a time for my section) in like a minute. It must be a lot harder for the other mods to decide on their reports or something... Lemniscate
@fireworks:The administrator, I imagine, has a life, and does not necessarily see the maintenance of YCM as a personal priority. However, if you pay attention, you will notice that YCMaker does in fact check the site often, and is making sure consistently that all things are running smoothly. I can understand some members being annoyed at the lack of direct participation, but it's like expecting the manager of a restaurant to handle your order, cook your food, bring it to you, and then handle payment, all by themselves. There is a staff for a reason, stop complaining, focus on what you have.
Willieh
Right' date=' because Riku is definitely more responsible than the mod staff...Seriously, I agree with the growing consensus in support of the appointment of a new Super, and new Mods, to help ease the load of the staff.[/quote'] Well how do you think he got all those votes? And someone needs to lock this thread, I think that it has been established as spam as Icy is obviously PMSing and thus this thread needs to be ignored. Your hostility is amusing. And it's cuz some random moron decided to start that "RIKU FOR MOD" fad, which is catchy btw. And that's merely a venting statement Willieh, or did you not catch on? See: "or attention seeking thread" And that was hardly a fad. Silly.

Skyfi
You know guys I was here before everybody that has posted in this thread and I can tell you. YCMaker didn't used to be this spammy. It actually had order aside froma few noobs here and there. What we have now is chaos.
Lemniscate
@BehindtheMask: And thus it will never happen, don't suggest yourself as a mod.Really, modship is a big responsibility, it should truly be given only to those who have the requisite capabilities to handle it. @Skyfire: It's not chaos, it's just as orderly as it has been. It is just bigger, and the order more complex. There is no chaos.

Huntar!
This thread isn't really serving a purpose anymore other than letting you vent and you seem to be done with that now, Josh.
Lemniscate
It serves the purpose of allowing an honest and substantive discussion of the state of the site, a discussion that, sooner or later, must happen. Continuously ignoring a problem, locking all threads related to discussing it, etc. serves no purpose other than to perpetuate any negative circumstances existent at the time. ~Shore
@Lemniscate. Sure, he can't be expected to have huge participation in the forum, and he does an OK job, but neither he nor FP provide the community leadership a forum needs. YCMaker's primary concern is the cardmaker, as well it should be, but the forum needs an active admin to lead it. For many, Icy has become that figure, which is unfair to him, and its because this forum has a lack of centralized leadership that he has to take on so much extra work. Lemniscate
@fireworks: Okay then, so you seem to advocate the appointment of a new admin, someone to fulfill the role that Icy currently does, leadership of the mod team, management of that which it is beyond the capacity of individual moderators to handle. I can understand that, neither YCMaker nor Falling Pizza are very active as leaders of the forum itself. I might ask then, whom would you suggest? @Ham: We are not throwing random crap on the table, you are, consistently.

bury the year
I do think YCMaker is active on the forum, he just hides himself from the visible list. I remember asking him to lock a thread outside of RP when no other mods were on, and he was on it in about 3 minutes, tops. He's active, but he's not interactive. [/creepy]
galesonic
From what I can tell, it shows that we need more active admins to support the moderators rather than the mods alone.
