I'll let the cards say the rest-

|Absolute Final Weapon|

|Quick-Play Spell Card|

|Activate only during your Main Phase while you have 10 or fewer Life Points. This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. During your next Standby Phase, you win the duel.|

|Solemn Mountain Falcon|

|EARTH/Rock|1500/1600|Level 4|

|Once during either player's turn, pay half your Life Points to negate the effect of a monster.|

|Solemn Mountain Turtle|

|EARTH/Rock|1500/2000|Level 4|

|When your opponent enters their Battle Phase, you can pay half your Life Points to negate a number of attacks this turn equal to the number of "Solemn" monsters you control.|

|Solemn Mountain Priest|

|EARTH/Rock|200/300|Level 2|

|You can discard this card and pay half your Life Points to add 1 "Solemn" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand, other than "Solemn Mountain Priest".|

|Solemn Mountain Viper|

|EARTH/Rock|100/2000|Level 1|

|While this card is face-up on the field, if you would take damage, you can pay half your Life Points to negate that damage. Then, destroy 1 card on the field.|

|Solemn Mountain Lion|

|EARTH/Rock|2500/2600|Level 6|

|You can Special Summon this card by tributing 1 "Solemn" monster you control. When this card is Summoned, pay half your Life Points to destroy 1 card on the field. When this card is sent from your field to the Graveyard, you can pay half your Life Points to add it to your hand.|

|Solemn Mountain|

|Field|

|When a player would take damage from a card effect, they can halve their Life Points instead. During either player's turn, you can send this card to the Graveyard and pay half your Life Points to reduce all damage to your Life Points this turn to 0. During the End Phase a turn you have paid half your Life Points, you can add 1 "Solemn" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.|

|Half Life|

|Continuous Spell|

|Once during either player's turn, when you pay half your Life Points, draw 1 card.|

|Solemn Knowledge|

|Normal Trap|

|Pay half your Life Points. View your opponent's hand, select 1 card from it and place it on top of your opponent's Deck. During the End Phase of this turn, your opponent draws 1 card.|

More to come?... Would like to know what people think of the idea first.

Do you srsly mean 20 Life Points' date=' not 200?

[/quote']

That's what I thought. But yeah, pretty good idea, making Solemn into an Archetype. Would like to see a few more though :P

Also, Ra loves Stay Alive. I mean, seriously ._.

EDIT: Damn, Bringer beat me to it D:

Big time. I read a Ra OTK with this Still Alive card here. Lol.

Noticed an OCG error in the Viper though. I can't let that go.

"|While this card is face-up on the field, if you would take damage from a card effect controlled by your opponent, you can pay half your Life Points to negate that cards effect and destroy it. If you negate a card effect using this card's effect, destroy 1 card on the field.|

Maybe that sounds better?

Attention successfully drawn.

[Noteworthy: Assuming you take no damage at all, you will drop to 20 or lower in nine payments. If you take damage, it should go faster than that.] I see Mountain and Mountain Viper being the most useful cards in the set, Viper seemingly going off at least once per turn and Mountain searching like mad for more Solemns. It's a shame they can't search for Still Alive, though.

All in all a good set, and if it was up to me, I'd say you should expand this one.

Added three more cards, which should be enough. I don't like huge archtypes. And I changed Viper a little. It is intended to negate battle damage too and not destroy a card it negates (unless you select it for the second part). They aren't intended to search for Still Alive, I intend them to be able to actually play fine without it.

The Ra thing is a scary combo, if these were released outside of YCM, I would add a clause that could stop that, but not right now. Since, if anywhere, these will be released in the YCCGEE (I can hope they make it =p)

Entirely changed Still Alive. Now a Quick-Play (avoid Diamond Dude abuse)' date=' has protection, a new name, and an effect harder activation requirements. Also gives the opponent one final climatic turn to try and stop it ;D I like this.

All inspired by [s']Darkdu[/s] Genma's above post... somehow...

I see what you did there...

Much better. Less abusable by DD, as you said, = not F**KING broken.

Exactly, it's a balance. They have repeatable solemns, monster effect negation, damage negation from two sources, destruction from two sources, universal search from two sources - one of which is highly searchable and repeatable. They're very well protected, but leaving a single hole is going to be the end of you. I suppose it's good for Decks to exist that don't play themselves and require some basic skills?
