Deus Ex Machina

If there are no cards in your deck the turn this card is drawn, win the duel. You may return this card from your hand to the bottom of your deck. If this card is destroyed, by removing from play 1 light monster in your deck or graveyard, return this card to the bottom of yor deck. If your opponent activates a card effect that increases or changes the ATK or DEF of a card, you may return this card to the bottom of your deck to negate the effect of the card and destroy it. If a monster on your side of the field is destroyed by a card effect, you may send this card from your hand to the graveyard to negate the effect and destroy it, however your opponent may reveal 1 light monster from his/her hand to negate this effect and remove from play this card.

 

Beckoning Sol

Light 5* 2600ATK 3000 DEF Pyro

When this card is Summoned, remove rom play the top 5 cards of your Deck. If there are any Light-Type monsters with 0 ATK and DEF points' add them to your hand. Once per turn you may Tribute 1 Light-Type Monster on your side of the field, to destroy 2 cards on the field. If you activate this effect, send 3 cards from your Deck to the Graveyard and reduce this card's ATK in half untill the End Phase. As long as this card remains face up on the field, opponents monster in Attack mode must attack it.

Once per turn, remove from play 3 cards from your deck. These cards cannot be returned to the field, Deck or Graveyard for the remainder of the duel. The effects of these cards are also negated. If this card is attacked, the Battle Damage is reduce to 0.

 

 

 

Sol God Druid

Light 1* Spellcaster 0 ATK 0 DEF

As long as this card remains face up on the field, any Light-Type monster with 0 ATK and Def points that is Attacked by an opponent's monster with more ATK points, can have it's ATK points increased by the number of your opponents' battling monster ATK points +100 untill the end of battle at the cost of lifepoints equal to the difference in monster's ATK points. During your standby phase, send 1 card from the top of your Deck, to the Graveyard for each Light_type monster on your side of the field. If "Beckoning Sol" is in the Graveyard, you may add 1 Counter to this card during each Stadby Phase. By removing 3 Counters Special Summon "Beckoning Sol" from the Graveyard. Reduce it's Original ATK points to 0.

 

Divine Ground

If there is a Light-Type monster on the field, neither player can activate Trap cards or Set monsters with more than 1000 ATK points. During Each player's Standby Phase, each player must send 1 card from their Deck, out of the game.

Empthatic Rescue

Activate this card from you hand when your opponent declares an Attack on a Light-Type level 1 monster. Return your opponent's Attacking monster to his/her hand and the Attacked monster to your hand then send this card to the top of your Deck then remove from play 1 "Deus Ex Machina" from your deck and shuffle your deck and finally place 1 "Deus Ex Machina", from out of play, to the bottom of the deck.

This is awesome! You should add more deck thinning abilities though. There are a few OCG errors, if you ask me to I will correct them.

 

By the way, you don't need to put all of the card's info by it, just the effect. The most efficient way to do this is to put the lore in a spoiler.

The first card is awesome in and of itself. The (am I right?) Latin makes it sound awesome. Would you mind posting the translation?

 

Beckoning Sol's stats are very high for a level 6, make it a level 7 or 8. The card destruction ability that it has is very overpowered. If you want to, change it to this.

Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 LIGHT Fairy-Type monster with 0 ATK to destroy 2 cards on the field.

Other than that, it's fine.

 

Messenger Incarnate seems quite underpowered. Change it to this.

Once per turn, you can remove from play up to 5 cards from the top of your Deck, to increase this card's ATK by the number of cards removed x300. If you remove from play "Deus Ex Machina" by this effect, return it to the bottom of your Deck.

 

Overall, 8/10

Your right about the Latin. Deus Ex Machina's meaning is for a last minuite intervention of some kind that enables the protagonist to save the day at the last second so it is very appropriate. Messenger Incarnate is actually very powerful esp in stall decks. Think about it you can get rid off 3 Corspes of Yata's or Jar's thus thinning deck very quickly. Thanks for the feedback i've been thinking of this sort of deck for some time. It's kind of a change from the card destruction. I agree there are a few errors in there and Beckoning Sol is v poweful but being level 7 would make it obsolete most ppl don't even play Monarchs anymore but yes i'll think of some limitations. Thanks again for the feedback. I hope to expand on them because I have many ideas for this deck.

I just read the first card, it would still be good if it only had this part:

 

If there are no cards in your Deck during the turn you draw this card, you win the Duel.

 

There are enough effects in the game to make a Deck that makes you win on the first turn with this card every game.

I agree with "sleepy". "Deus Ex Machina" + draw engine = FTK anytime. So it'd be illegal.

 

Wouldn't "Beckoning Sol" be a Winged-Beast-Type monster? And as for his effect... I kind of don't like it. You lose a lot of cards, and w/out "Deus Ex Machina", well, he's useless ('cause it's not like you're planning on stocking "Copycat" and all that to your hand..). I'd rather use "Kuraz", personally, for the destruction, because his ATK won't temporarily go down, he'll give you 2 cards, and he's in the same general ATK range.

 

"Messenger Incarnate" seems useful... for Deck thinning, if nothing else. Plus he's searchable... but I don't think I'd use him, really.

 

"Sol God Druid" is searchable and effectively invincible in battle... this makes him overpowered.

 

"Divine Ground" is wayyyy to strong. Lock down on Trap Cards (in the form of a Field Spell... this make me edgy...) PLUS some mill... that's just... too good.

 

And for the last guy... well, "Empthatic" isn't a word, I don't think. And wiht 2/3 of your Level 1 LIGHT monsters being illegal... well, this guy becomes pretty useless.

 

"Beckoning Sol" and "Messenger Incarnate" are the best of this here set. "Messenger Incarnate" is probably the most valuable, for its originality. I'd discard the rest, or REALLY change up their effects.

 

Though, being a 1-star, I'd say you've done fantastically.
