Wolvevice
I am uncertain about this. If for example I summon Dark Grepher or Destructotron or any other similar monster which you can activate its effect during the main phase anytime you want and my opponet plays Bottomless Trap Hole, will the effect still resolve? What I mean is, can I activate their effects during the summoning like its when the monster gets summoned?
-Griffin
Basic rules. A Summon has no Spell Speed, so the turn player has the first chance to activate something. They aren't allowed to flip Bottomless until you've activated something or said you don't want to.

Toffee.
If you Summon a monster, the Opponent can activate something agnest it.But you can still claim priority and activate a monster's effect, if it can be activated.
-Griffin
No, they don't activate and then you claim priority. They aren't allowed to activate anything until after you've claimed or passed priority. After they activate something, you can't go back and decide to claim priority. Wolvevice
Alright. Heres another question. If my opponet synchro summons or fusion summons a monster is it treated as a special summon so that I can activate mind over matter to negate and destroy the monster? Wolvevice
So a fusion/synchro summon is treated as a special summon and they can be destroyed by mind over matter for example and they cant even be summoned from the graveard because their summoning was negated? -Griffin
Correct. Synchros, Fusions and Rituals must be Summoned correctly first and not have the Summon negated (Bottomless, for example, doesn't negate the Summon), to be Summoned from the Graveyard. Guest
A Fusion/Synchro/Ritual isn't just treated as a Special Summon; it is a Special Summon.
